Tortorella's Rant
Yes. A winter like the previous winter we just had is a prime example of why we should host this event.
sgt. grumbles
Why would it matter if its cold or not? We are more than capable if maintaining ice out doors.

MikeGillis58
Opponent should be Buffalo Sabres since we're expansion cousins.
thad
It would definitely be cool but I think I would rather see a real outdoor game take place in another city.. Sucks they won't have the crowd behind them but it would be way cooler than an indoor game in a bigger arena

MoneypuckOverlord
My son went to the outdoor game at McMann Stadium in Calgary a few years back. Said it was brutal. Cold wind blowing in. A lot of fans didn't return after the 1st intermission.
Canucks_fo_life
Uuuh Pittsbirgh and Washington played outdoors and it was a rainy 9 degree night in Pittsburgh a few years back, I bet Vancouver will have nice sunny cold crisp weather for the Heritage Classic

bd71
It looks at though the NHL is going to have more than one outdoor game next year. I like the limited amount they have now. Makes it special. If every team is playing an outdoor game the novelty is going to wear off very quickly. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/winter-classic-dodger-stadium-nhl-wants-multiple-outdoor-180100852--nhl.html

alt kilgore
Indoors just isn't the same. I'd like to see it in Whistler or even Prince George's Masich Place Stadium. both would have to be retrofitted with enough seating though. But somewhere in BC where it could actually freeze outside.
