Mike Vanderhoek
The Oil could get in on this pretty easily. Gagner, Paajarvi, 1st.

Mike Vanderhoek
two roster players, a top prospect, a defenseman they could sign whom is familiar with the team and actually plays defense. And a first.
Hairy Kneel
No, we need forwards instead of overpaying for a Dman
CanuckofSteel
Booth, Ballard, Sauve, and 2014 1st Round Pick for Kris Letang. Do it MG, do it, do it!
Junkyard Dog
Bieksa(If he waives his no-trades), Tanev, 1st Edler-Letang - If Torts and Letang can help get Edler back to his full potential I can see them doing very well together. Hamhuis-Garrison - They were together for most of last season and was our best defense pairing for the last half of that season. Corrado-Alberts/Ballard/etc. - Top 6 pairing. Our PP gets extremely better having Letang at the point. He could be a better partner than Ehrhoff or Salo ever were for Edler. One can only dream.. BuretoMogilny
Hamhuis Letang Edler Garrison Bieksa Tanev That's more along the lines of a Stanley Cup winning D. I've said since Ehrhoff left that this teams biggest need is a creative puck moving D-man that can run a powerplay. If Gillis wants to go "all in" for one more run, this team can squeeze in Letang at 3.5 mil. Only problem is that's alot of assets to give up for a player that could very well bolt in a year. Nas19
Just read that Pittsburgh made an offer to Letang for 8 years around $54 million. If he doesn't sign they are going to look at trading him. Here's the interesting part. They don't want to trade him to a team in the East. If they trade him they want to trade him to the West. And apparently they are interested in the prospects of Anaheim and Vancouver. http://triblive.com/...s-kunitz-letang EDIT: IMO we can't afford Letang. Still though it's always fun to speculate.
