The Canucks dont have 1 roster player theyve drafted themselves since 2005. Yourtroll comment reeks of ignorance and bandwagon cdc name caling. Our talent pool of players and picks has been decimated by MG. The prospects wecurrently have may jave a bit of a future but come on, of any of them do you honestly see amything that amazing?

with all due respect 'coach' or prospects went from 0 2 years ago to respectable last year too impressive this year.

If you follow the team you can't deny it. If you follow and stick up for an obvious troll like Yete, than I have nothing more to say to you at all.

Our drafting had either vastly improved or gotten incredibly lucky, but I'm not going to sit back and have an ill educated troll tell me our than is terrible and we have no products and our team is garbage.

So with all due respect, nothing you just said means poop to me.

I don't think Sutter would tailor his response to our market in speaking about our prospect. Gaunce could be a Flame down the road, why would he throw a kid under the bus just to piss off our fan base, it doesn't sound likely to me. What seems more likely is that Sutter is sour faced hater that was trouble smiling let alone saying nice things about anyone. I think Sutter has a negativity default. I also think he is right in that Gaunce (like 99.9% of all prospects) has work to do to be at the NHL level. Hoping to see center the 3rd line this season even if it is temporary. The player that gives us the best chance to win gets the job, it's that simple.

Ok, of all the future prospects are anybof tjem going to be solid 1st line playets in your opinion? If so who? Ive been a nucks fan since the brodeur run and your uneducated comment os yet another cdc stab in the dark my friend. So... of the players we have... who is going to make a real impact?Lets lose the emotion and use facts ok?

since you expect me to do your homework for you....

Shinkaruk translates into a serious scoring threat that we haven't had in years. C or winger

Horvat controls the game completely and has captain written all over him, also has great chemistry with Shinkaruk. C or winger

Gaunce only wins faceoffs battles and throws oriole around while owning defensive battles, C or winger

Mallett hits to hurt he's fast and greasy and exactly what this team needs.

Tomernes looks incredibly smooth, no flaws in hisgame really top 4 or top 2 in the future

Cederholm had some gaffs last night but solid skater future top 4

Subban...can't say enough good about him he makes players look silly skates passes tape to tape and has PP specialist pick moving defenceman written all over him.

Lack has shown what he's capable of.

Erikkson looked solid last night and his career isjust one long highlight reel.

Those are facts non emotive so you can take your holier than thou attitude and do your own home work next time. Or not stick up for blatant attention seeking trolls like yete

Try reading some of his comments and doing the research on our prospects yourself before crapping on me for sticking up for our team. I'm positive about the future, if you're not that ain't my problem.

Yea he was so negative that he bashed Horvat too

So when he praised Horvat he was out of his mind? People don't take criticism very well here, I can only imagine how mad many of you get when you get criticized in real life.

Actually I take criticism well, it's a necessary part of growth. What I said about Sutter is true, he is negative, I didn't formulate my opinion from the OP, I have been following Sutter since he was a player and he is a grouchy, negative person. If you re-read my post I clearly said he did not bash Gaunce, I said Gaunce does need to work on his skating given he is a prospect and not an NHL player at this point. "People don't take criticism very well here". Well, here's some criticism for you. A person is not "people" and generalizing "people here" is about as accurate as Bran Stark with a Bow and Arrow.

I think it was fair for me to generalize CDC as a group. If you look at the responses and threads here, that is the norm.

You're also generalizing Brent Sutter when you don't know him personally. Hypocrite much? So is he a sour faced guy when he was praising Horvat? I thought he was Mr always negative no matter what.

Thanks for the solid response. I have to admit that I have been pretty bummed as a nucks fan this summer. It's been pretty painful to see this team lose some of its gusto....

True, I've been a debbie downer and some of the points made by you and warhippy are solid and positive ones.

(I was on my phone and I suck with the new touch screen)

I am hoping htat these players are developed properly and given the shot they need. That was one thing that I felt was an issue over the past number of years when we had talent. Our bottom 6 had nowhere or very little space for players to play, or were alllowed to play during regular season. I don't see that problem repeating itself and there is hope for them to not only get a chance, but to stick.

Thanks for the positive input.

Horvat, Shinkaruk, Jensen and even Kassian certainly have the potential. Can you say with certainty "anybof tjem" won't be solid 1st line "playets"? You can't declare something a fact without actual evidence and it will be several years before that evidence exists either way.

There's far too many here with prospect woodies declaring them stars before they've even played an NHL game. But you doom and gloom boys are every bit as bad.

I don't know what to say bud, Brent Sutter is a negative person. I'm not (nor did ever) say that Sutter doesn't make the right calls and is always wrong. So yes, he is a sour faced guy while praising Bo Horvat, if you can't figure that out, then so be it, I'm over it. FYI, I try not to be a hypocrite but it happens to us all and I am more than willing to eat my words when I am wrong. You're picking at a non-issue, Sutter is negative, Gaunce is a young prospect and needs time, Bo Horvat has a lot of potential and the CDC is not a hive mind, get over it.

Brian Sutter catches the bus to Red Deer to start his junior career. The coach cut him during tryouts so Brian phones home for a ride. His Dad tells him he had better go back and make the team because there was no place at home for him anymore. He did. All the Sutters are cut from the same cloth. They are hard as nails Alberta farm boys. No favors asked none given. Anyone who watched them during their careers can attest to that.

Reporters are called hacks for a reason.
