Mid level prospect and a 2nd round pick. With only 1 year left, I'd prefer JB took him platoon with Lack, then flip him at the trade deadline. (reportedly the Canucks were his preference when none of the California teams were interested). If they can sign him for around $5 million, they could trade Niemi and get something in return. It seems more likely, though, that they want to rebuild and see how Alex Stalock can do as a starter. He played very well last season and he's 26, now.
