Yes a lot of teams got better. As did the Canucks.

Just remember all the other teams in the division have to play those better teams too.

The Canucks did not get better. If anything they got worse. Downgrades on d and forwards examples would be bartwhateverski instead of bieska and Prust for kassian

Sutter for bones was an expensive step sideways

The vets are all older, even the net got downgraded since the backup is an unknown in the nhl.

Can't see this roster competing for anything other than a good draft choice.

The HN is predicting the Canucks to end up with 81 points. (101 points last year)

Their best case at 90 points and worst at 73.

Did the Canucks get 20 points worse in the off season? I think not.

Yes we lost a third pairing defenceman that was past his prime. Remains to be seen how his replacements fair.

Yes we traded a big body with some potential, who rode the pine for parts of the year and has a bad back. No loss there.

Sutter is steadier than the streaky Bonino. Prust also will bring a steady effort.

A youngster or three will add to the depth.

Adds up to another 100 point year.

Goaltending could be interesting but I expect Miller to be more settled and more familiar with western shooters.
