Suspect Dead, 10 Hurt in Attack at B.C. Office

As we’ve pointed out, this isn’t your typical election cycle for the Democrats. This time around, there’s not even the thin veneer of lies about their intentions vis-à-vis civilian firearms ownership. Nope, this year, they’re doing everything they can to let you know they’re coming after your guns. This morning, while apparently curious about how an orange jumpsuit might one day work with her skin tone, Hillary Clinton told a handpicked town hall crowd that national gun confiscation is something that’s “worth looking at.” Here’s the NRA’s response . . .

Fairfax, Va.— Hillary Clinton said at a New Hampshire Town Hall today that gun confiscation is something “worth looking at.” Discussing the firearms confiscation program in Australia, Clinton admitted she would consider implementing such a system in America.

A voter asked, “Recently, Australia managed to get away, or take away tens of thousands, millions, of handguns. In one year, they were all gone. Can we do that? If we can’t, why can’t we?”

Mrs. Clinton responded by describing Australia’s program, and then said, “I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged.”

Chris Cox, executive director of The National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action, said, “This validates what the NRA has said all along. The real goal of gun control supporters is gun confiscation. Hillary Clinton, echoing President Obama’s recent remarks on the same issue, made that very clear.”

Clinton’s call for gun confiscation follows recent comments she made at a private fundraiser late last month. While expressing support for a ban on commonly owned semi-automatic firearms, Clinton stated her belief that the Supreme Court wrongly held that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to self-defense. In her own words: “…the Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”

“Hillary Clinton just doesn’t get it. The NRA’s strength lies in our five million members and the tens of millions of voters who support the Second Amendment,” Cox said. “A majority of Americans support this freedom, and the Supreme Court was absolutely right to hold that the Second Amendment guarantees the fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms. Hillary Clinton’s extreme views are completely out of touch with the American people.”

They're not even trying to hide it anymore. For all those "no one wants to take your guns" people. I beg to differ. It's all about an incremental process leading to the confiscation of guns. Most gun owners knew this all along and here it is in plain English.

I'm rereading 1984, so I can get a better handle on the whole Big Brother concept. I remember a while back the local city government wanting neighbors to rat on their neighbors if there was evidence of improper water use. Plus, I see adds for citizens to report their fellow citizens to Crme Stoppers, and rewards will be given. Who are the judges of what is considered water misuse, or a criminal act. Sure if someone is opening fire hydrants, or robbing banks, it's easy to judge. However, what if someone is watering their vegetables, or climbing in their window because they locked themselves out of their house? The eyes of Big Brother seem to be everywhere now.

Can I take a leak in the bushes without being reported for some criminal offence? Can I drink a beer on a park bench without someone taking my picture and sending it to the local authorities? (Not that I drink beer)

It had nothing to do with gun control as people back then didn't have guns, with or without government gun control.

You are absolutely whitewashed. :lol::lol::lol:

Even Ambien was never this stupid.

This is great stuff! I love these open forum battles of intelligence. I'm keeping score and one of you needs to make up some serious ground. :(

Welcome to the police state. Constantly being spied on is fun, isn't it?

George Orwell was a genius when it came to recognizing and foreseeing this. Animal Farm is another great book by him. It's an allegory type book that perfectly reveals how easily dumb people can be when it comes to being oblivious to a dictatorship being installed. If you haven't read it, check it out. Great book.

Still talking about Ambien? Man, he must have really ruffled your feathers. It was fun watching him run circles around you in the debates until you had nothing left and started talking nonsense and throwing petty insults. I'm pretty sure he blocked you and you were still responding to him, knowing he wasn't seeing your comments. I'll take heed from Mr. A's ignoring you and do the same as you never really have any points to make, mostly just snide remarks and false statements in a pathetic attempt to pass off lies as truth. It's quite pitiful. You must be a sad little man, probably look just like your avatar picture.

I wrote 6 words and you wrote over 5 lines about him. Who's obsessed now?

I'd place a hefty wager that their terrible socioeconomic conditions play a major role in that.

Maybe, but the relative rate was even higher during Soviet times apparently, which was concealed by the regime even as they used propaganda to successfully portray the U.S. as a singularly violent society, an image that continues today.

Someone points a gun at me and I'm dead. I at least have a chance if someone runs at me with a hammer.

Someone runs at me with a hammer and I have a gun, he has very little/no chance. Someone runs at me with a gun, at least I have a force multiplier equal to the gunman.

But what if you start running at people with your gun? Every mass murderer was a 'responsible' gun owner until the day of.
