The draft and free agency will change the landscape drastically but lets see whose got the best pick for next years starting roster the day of the year end player media pressers.

 

2 lineups are fine, what you want to see within reason and possibility

and what the Canucks will deliver.

Ma. Granlund & Bartkowski both played

decent and both are underrated.

They aren't being let go, and Etem too? 

6 game point streak and a 23 year old with Elite speed and top six upside. Terrible ideas, you didn't add anything really except a top six forward we

likely won't get. And its pretty obvious that there's a 60% chance we'll have Laine.

you think Granlund is worth having on the team ?

 

really didn notice him but at the same time i barely kept both eyes on the end of the season while the tank was in play.

i wouldn't be surprised if one of those 2 monster C's is on our team next year. Happy thats for sure.

We badly need a bonafide Hank Sedin replacement.

Wow some people have great imaginations on here. Stamkos,Lucic,Okposo why would they come in the middle of a rebuild? Is it really worth massively overoaying to try to get them to consider Vancouver?

 

I would be surprised if the Canucks signed more than 1 or 2 name players expected to play top 6 or top 4 roles.

 

I can see maybe a trade or two involving prospects, draft picks, or young players being exchanged possibly on D.

 

Might wanna see what it would take to land a Justin Faulk, Vatenen, or in the lower tier Michael Stone from the Coyotes. Could sign one of the Dallas dmen or take a run at Loui Eriksson other than that I don't expect major moves. Probably more just filler moves to give young guys time to develop.

 

Most exciting thing will be draft lottery and draft day that is when things heat up trades wise and the off-season really kicks in.

-Canucks draft outside of the top 3 and the draft pick goes back to junior

-We resign Hamhuis

-Both McCann and Virtanen start the year in Utica

I personally prefer Sutter on right wing where he can use his shot. He is not a great passer or playmaker which is required to effectively play center but is fine if you are playing a shutdown role like Vacjes and Kesler are on a good team. Canucks need more offence from Sutter though and his place may be on Horvat's wing to free a center position for Granlund.

Fixed it a bit for you:

 

 

I think NHL is giving the #1 pick to ZONA somehow then TO and VAN will get 2-3 and we end up with Laine

 

They trade HIGGY for a 3-5 rounder and retain 50% of his salary

 

Trade HANSEN for a late 1st and a 5th this year or 2nd this year and next year HE IS AT HIS ALL TIME HIGH TRADE VALUE

 

They trade EDLER for a 1st this year and 2nd this year and next

 

They sign DEMKO and he goes to Utica with Canatta

 

The 3 young guys get to play a whole season together under GREEN and are a third line the following year on the big club (and are of course the first call-ups due to injuries)

 

 

So how i see the next year as i do not think we will sign a UFA for top 6 as they will want to much TERM

We sign 3 UFAs (Stamkos, Lucic, and Eriksson = 11 + 6.5 + 6.5 = 24 million dollars) and pick Matthews.
