With the likes of Rickard Rakell taking off as #1 center and Luke Green stepping up in a big way on the back end the Mighty Ducks were able to slip into the playoffs and give the kids some much needed experience in their development. Rookie and #1 overall pick in last season's draft Sasha Mutala showed his star power in leading all rookies in points. Rookie goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick had spots of eliteness with 4 shutouts in his first season and one in his first playoff series. To further this success the Ducks will attempt to get more scoring and tougher on defense and now have hopes of repeating their upward trend.
