Donky
All I know is if Rodin joins the boys on the bus in Winnipeg this franchise is fully stocked with forwards top to bottom. If we can get the the defense stocked up like this the Canucks are going to be a juggernaut ala the Red Wings! Injury callups to the big club won't be filled with AHLer's but with primo prospects who would be playing on any other team already....lovin' it. YaK
It says may, but it's irrelevant. Contract language is different from usual language. I can dredge up a post of someone (Wetcoaster, for those who remember an older poster on here) who has legal expertise who will support this. Not going to get into it, but the wording would be "shall" if it were obligatory; using "contract language" of course.
Wetcoaster
Not going to get into it, but the wording would be "shall" if it were obligatory; using "contract language" of course. That is incorrect. See post #476.
MoneypuckOverlord
So I assume he's not getting a contract. Or does anyone even know whats going on between Rodin and the Canucks? To some extent you will think the absence of not having Hodgson, and Grabner for the Moose playoff run would have opened up a roster spot for one of our prosming young players. Anyone know the update?

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Found this video of him in Brynas in late March He sure looks very promising with what he showed in the vid gets a goal and draws 2 penalties, this kids got skills with hands and blistering skating fellow draftee in 2010 Calle Jarnkork has a mean shot from the point on the powerplay goal. check it out

Sanford
http://www.theprovince.com/sports/hockey/canucks-hockey/Canucks+sign+prospect+Rodin+three+year+contract/3099407/story.html The good news is the Swedish prospect upon whom the team is so high continues to grow. Rodin is now over six feet tall after reporting to the club's prospect camp last summer needing elevator shoes to reach his listed 5-foot-11. He looks like he might eventually be able to play at 190 pounds or more once he fills out. This quote here intrigued me the most. Last year when he was drafted he was barely 5"11. He was more 5"10. It appears that Rodin grew several inches... he is 6" plus now
wolfgang puck
Good stuff...now hopefully he comes to NA to play and get some real ice time.Last year seemed like kind of a write off for his development except for the WJC and growing a couple more inches. b3.
http://www.theprovin...9407/story.html This quote here intrigued me the most. Last year when he was drafted he was barely 5"11. He was more 5"10. It appears that Rodin grew several inches... he is 6" plus now That's awesome! Here is The Province article on Anton being signed. The Vancouver Canucks have signed Anton Rodin to a three-year contract, which was probably to be expected given the June 1 deadline that all teams seem to be responding to with this spate of signings. The good news is the Swedish prospect upon whom the team is so high continues to grow. Rodin is now over six feet tall after reporting to the club's prospect camp last summer needing elevator shoes to reach his listed 5-foot-11. He looks like he might eventually be able to play at 190 pounds or more once he fills out. The speedy forward had a good second half and decent playoff with his Swedish Elite League team, Brynas IF. Rodin was outstanding at the Canucks prospect camp last year, and at times for Sweden at times in the world junior tournament. Much of this past season did not work out for him, as he struggled for ice time before being sent down at the start of the Swedish season. There's no word on where the team expects him to play next year, but perhaps a full year in the Elite League would do him as much good as playing in Manitoba. There's no doubt the Canucks would prefer he choose North America. Given he's not yet 20 years old, however, there is likely no wrong choice. © Copyright © The Province Read more: http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Canucks+sign+prospect+Rodin+three+year+contract/3099407/story.html#ixzz0pfOvdvkR
