I believe they would be willing to trade a premium piece like Drouin to have that cap space and contract off the books. I think the deal to be made here is something around Ben Hutton for Tyler Johnson. Tampa has a really big list of players to protect along with a weak defence. Ben Hutton doesn't need to be protected in the expansion draft so I can see that adding to his value in a trade.
