They said Normandy and Battle of The Bulge will be in it.

Perhaps I'm a bit off on my history of 1st infantry division then. I didnt think the 1st was in Normandy.

1st Infantry Division.  Big Red One.  So Algeria, Sicily, and Western Front.  Okay.

Didn't they already do this though?

This was my understanding as well.

Well there will also will be some fighting done by a female French freedom fighter so all of France is in play there.  I did question the choice of the 1st Infantry for the same reason. If they're going to bounce around characters they could have chosen a few divisions to represent.

I mean it's nice that they are going back to what works best but just because it's boots on the ground it doesn't mean it'll be good, and this is coming from a COD fanboy. The issues that have plagued the game (some of which started all the way back after MW2) will likely remain:

- Deliberately terrible lag compensation to reduce the skill-gap

- Dumb specialists and perks to reduce the skill-gap

- New P2W/DLC weapons completely throwing off the meta every few months and reducing the skill-gap

- Weird matchmaking issues (like getting put on a team with 5 potatoes)
