Hope you guys have patience with me as ive never done a fantasy pool like this before and dont completely understand the rules yet but im sure itll be a lot of fun even though ive been gifted the worst team possible. At least its something to build on! Yea ive been a forum ninja for years. I spend so much time on this forum but only ever post when i really want to get something answered or opinions on a specific matter. Public speaking makes me nervous.. Welcome! Make sure you understand the scoring system before agreeing to any deals. There are a lot of players who are excellent in real life, but due to their playing style don't score as well in this league. For instance, last year, despite only playing 70 games, Mark Borowiecki outscored Cam Fowler, PK Subban, Colton Parayko, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Hampus Lindholm. Also, depth players are a bit harder to come by in this league, so they seem to get more in trades. Also players on playoff teams have a premium - players on contenders a large one. (However, the last GM in Colorado quickly traded them all away.) Fantrax lists all the trades made this season. You should review previous deals to get an idea of what you can expect for returns. Sygvard
I still think it is bizarre that shots don't count for points in any way. I have never seen a league without shots. It throws off my player evaluation.

Beary Sweet
Glad to see el capitan Quick getting a shutout and Toffoli notching his 1st goal of what is hopefully a big year for both in their season opener last night. as long they roll, the Kings on here are rolling as well. Still early on in the hockey season but it's looking like it's going to be an even tougher Pacific division to win especially after our title slipped season's past due to our team being crippled. We're hoping we can work our way out of the Pacific basement and it's very early with half our team yet to play. Watch out for us, fellow rivals! D-Money
Considering our #1 D-man and goaltender haven't played yet, and we don't have a single Blackhawk player, sitting in 6th overall right now is pretty encouraging.

He is a player that we see with absolute potential and hopefully, he can step it up this year and exceed expectations after a hard-working off-season. After a year with Eichel, Flames management is hoping that he is able to continue the chemistry built from last year with him and become the 1-2 punch needed. With that being said, that is the first of two contract extension that the Flames will make this year. We are currently negotiating with the likes of Eichel and Dvorak. With Jack signing a massive extension a couple of days ago, the Flames are edging towards extending Christian first since Jack's real life deal would most likely set a precedence on contract negotiations. somethingvery
These guys are falsely-flattering my trade acumen; typically I get hosed and that's the funny joke. Canuck Surfer
Some really encouraging signs in Beantown! 16 players off the schnide with points after only two days. Led by Zibanajed, who did not look great returning from injury last year. He had a 3 point opening night! Also strong first games from Corey Perry, Pietrangelo, Evander Kane, Nylander & Joel Eriksson Ek. Nice to see Grzelcyk in on opening night. We, uhm, missed getting him in our line up. And Travis Sanheim blooded with his firs NHL game. Awesome!

A young D would need to be the principal. Also considering moving top unsigned prospects (and picks) - again, feel free to inquire if interested - would be looking for a hockey trade (not volume of lesser assets - but would also consider adding them to a larger deal for the right return). Preference given to older prospects. Roster forward - Colin Wilson is available to a team looking for a consistent middle six forward - price is reasonable given his move to Colorado (could be a good pickup for a rebuilding team - who knows where the AVs finish in the future. Finally, Darcy Kuemper is available to a team looking for an NHL backup - open to options - one for one, or including him in a larger deal. Best of luck fellow GMs (except apollo....btw apollo, wanna swap 1sts again?)
