As this had previously been discussed amongst the exec, long before today`s news, this seems like the right time.

CDCGML League Announcement:

Effective immediately, the CDCGML GM of the Year Award will be renamed the Wilb Trophy, in honour of Wilb`s positivity, determination, perseverance and dedication to the CDCGML.

Unfortunately this will likely be my last post in this chat room. i know that i haven't been active at all here anyway and i apologize to all the GM's who sent me trade offers and got no response from me. i am stepping down as GM as my doctor has given me 1-2 months to live and there is no way i can finish this season. i wish the best to you all and your families as i guess this is my final goodbye. thanks to all who made this pool possible.

Wilb,

I am going to cross my fingers and what every crazy voodoo I can think of to help a brother out.  If it is your time you will be missed and always remembered and your willingness to battle with courage is an inspiration to all of us.

I can't even say how proud and happy I am to be part of a group that makes decisions like these. Quality group of folks here.

Congratulations on your deserved win @Wilb.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Studs and Duds (November Edition)

Studs:

Connor McDavid - A strong month by Connor leading our team with 96 pool points this month. If our team (and the RL Oilers) is going to make a surge up the standings in the future, it's going to need to be Mr. McDavid leading the way.

Roman Josi - After seeing Seth Jones dominate last month, Josi decided it was his turn to take charge. 87 fantasy points in November, and with their recent moves, Nashville looks to make another run for it this season.

Matt Benning - Surprisingly had 74 pool points last month, Benning has seemed to rebound from a poor October in which he only produced 17 fantasy points. Hopefully more is to come from Matt.

Duds:

Can't really think of anyone that was a "complete dud", however there were a few guys who had poor months as they were battling injuries (Vrbata/Bjork), as well as it looks like Kris Versteeg may be out for the season.

We're going to need more from our depth players in the future, as right now it looks as if we would miss the playoffs (we do have some points missing from Pickup but not sure how that stacks up compared to everyone else missing points).

Tampa Bay will be in the market for better depth point producers, we will be willing to move futures and younger roster players to do so.

Prospect of the Month:

Troy Terry - We were able to snag Terry with the 69th overall pick last entry draft after he had a real strong season, and it looks as if he has taken another big step in his junior season. Troy currently has 23 points in 12 games, and his 1.91 P/G is second in the nation, only behind teammate Henrik Borgstrom's 2 P/G. It looks as if we have struck gold with this draft pick, as many are predicting that Terry can turn into a legitimate top 6 forward.

@Wilb I would like to thank you for giving your time to this League, I hope you realize to us or for myself I know it was a privilege and as a GM you handled yourself with class, a shrewd negotiator at times but always fair and upfront. Much respect.

You definitely have helped raise the standard for this League, set the bar with how to handle yourself and treat others all while enduring and going through what most of us cannot imagine. Thank you again for all the time you have given us, CDCGML family, you are a big part of that and always will be part of this special group.

Personally I regret not having the opportunity to meet you in person, but from our brief discussions off CDC I know you to be a stand up family man with the pride of a beautiful family and one we can look up to for that, job well done in that regard.

My heart breaks for you and your family, nothing but love from my family to yours, enjoy your time, feel the love........we can all learn from that.....again thank you wilb, thank you for sharing your life with us.

MSN NEWS:

The New York Rangers in a break with tradition are signalling a move to "Man of the Month" honours rather than three stars this year. Our first ever Man of the Month for October is therefore our newly signed Starting Goaltender: Semyon Varlamov!!!! Going 4-3-0 with one shutout in October was enough for Varlamov to secure top points for our club, and it has been too many years since a netminder held that top rung on the ladder. Welcome Aboard Semyon!!!! Our October Man of the Month!

Not to be outdone, our "Man of the Month" honours for November fall to none other than Johnny Boychuck! With three goals (two game winning!!), two assists and plus five with 6 penalty minutes, while doing time on the Blueline, Johnny Boychuck secured top dog on our squad for all of November. Congrats. Johnny also becomes our first 100 point player of the year closely followed by Octobers man of the month, Semyon Varlamov who has 95 points so far in the campaign.
