Hypocritical Cranium
I DVR the games, I then skip through and watch certain players (Bo, Jake, Twins) then goals. If we are behind, I start skipping faster to see if we the it up or fall further behind. I watch the last 4 minutes of the 3rd if close, all the overtime and the shootout. DVR has ruined my ability to watch a hockey game.

I think in Canada you have to have some kind of skill testing question in order to receive such a prize. So it might be just a 2 + 2 kind of question. But yeah, if they threw out a... square root of 2574 - number of years Canucks have been in the league x how many Canucks have worn the #10 and do it in 2 minutes....GO! I'd burn a few stores to the ground. Actually I think the "chance" is shooting the puck from centre ice into the middle of the net. Usually they just give away a car for that contest, but I think if you were a contestant who won the 5 goal thing then you'd be shooting for 1 mil. Well, it was buggin me so I actually looked it up on their website and near the end found this line: https://scoreandwinhockey.com/rules Potential winners will be judged and prizes awarded based on correctly answering, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and signing a liability/publicity release. And further, it seems there is a law in Canada banning contests that simply have a draw, like a lottery. So they add the math question, standing in as the "real" contest, to make it all legit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skill_testing_question The combined effect of Sections 197 to 206 of the Canadian Criminal Code bans for-profit gaming or betting, with exceptions made for provincial lotteries, licensed casinos, and charity events. Many stores, radio stations, and other groups still wish to hold contests to encourage more purchases or increase consumer interest. These organizations take advantage of the fact that the law does allow prizes to be given for games of skill, or mixed games of skill and chance. To make the chance-based contests legal, such games generally consist of a mathematical STQ.

I doubt I would have much problem but would be funny to see the panic of someone struggling with it.

NexusRift
I watch mostly 'cuz I'm a Canucks fan. "To watch them to win." Yeah. Needless to say really. You always cheer for your team and want them to win. No brainer. "For entertainment." Sure. Sometimes I watch other games involving other teams, but I'm pretty much glued to the tube when my 'Nucks are on! "To get glimpses of the future." Not so much a factor in why I watch, but more so a factor of just being a fan. You want to see your team succeed. Part of that is getting excited about new players in the fold. Be they acquired from trades, free agency or draft. Hope also is a big factor. Especially when it comes to our Canucks. I'm just a fanboy really! Go Canucks Go!
