In the OP, it says the sheriff begins the game with a random investigation on a vanilla TP. I doubt Aladeen would give the sheriff 2 investigations before the first nightfall.

 

While not an immediate stake burning for a sheriff cover ploy by Dral is possible, it does at the very least give the impression that he didn't read the the OP all the way through/carefully. Slight suspicion lean ATM.
