Brandon Dubinsky was pulled off the ice today at Blue Jackets morning skate. It's believed he could be on the move. CBJ GM had been listening to offers on Dubinsky but remained undecided if they would move the veteran centre.

Perhaps this is just an equipment issue but Dubinsky has yet to return to the ice. Moving a veteran like Dubinsky would be felt in the dressing room. Dubinsky has been an integral leader for this young CBJ squad.

Hard to give Brandon up, we’ve been committed to him for a long time, but turn-over is a very real part of the game. Brandon’s contract has made him a bit unmanageable for the organization, which is facing heavy rfa signings this season. Changes were manditory, and the savings will be the necessary grease in the wheels of negotiation throughout the spring and summer.

Brandon has been nothing short of elite at the 3rd line center role. He has been a strong competitor, a great two way player and we’ve been proud to be a part of his development.

Nikita Popugaev is a long and interesting story, which ive followed since seeing him play in Prince George (probably one of the best things about Prince George for me). He’s been through a long and weird story, but is signed now by his drafting team, and headed over to the AHL. We are pleased to take a chance on a fun personal connection.

Thanks to RL for productive ongoing negotiations. Interesting trade, with the cap hit and all factors considered. A pleasure working with your organization.

Happy to welcome Dubinsky back to the Coyotes.

He will provide some leadership and grit in our bottom six as we look to secure our first CDCGML cup.

Report: Players being actively shopped by the Dallas Stars

Eric Staal - Pending UFA, likely moved in the next day

Alex Steen - one year remaining, o  a playoff team

Marc Methot - Pending UFA, currently injured but on a playoff team

Lee Stempniak - Pending UFA, just signed with Boston

Willing to retain salary, possibly combined with a depth prospect going back, for futures. Creativity is the name of the game.

Will listen on a lot of other players too. Any deal needs to make sense for a rebuilding team.
