Game is a tad more entertaining when the goalkeepers are actually trying.  Offence is fun to watch.  I get that this is a fun event and no one wants to get hurt, but you can make defending more entertaining in these games.

You could tell the effort level was way higher for all players than the pacific/central game

Cant say I like the format 5 on 5 is the hockey we know. Looks like what we did as kids when half our friends didnt show up to the pond.

I was thinking of something -- maybe extend each game 10 minutes longer and have a different format for each period?

1st period: 10 minutes 5-on-5

2nd period: 10 minutes 4-on-4

3rd period: 10 minutes 3-on-3

Should be interesting to see if they start using some of these on screen player analytics in the near future.  I can see why the NHLPA had a issue with some of them, not like having every second of your performance projected in real time.

I don't agree that Petey was "brutal".  I think he understands pecking order and was aware of that.  Not ruffling feathers for a nothing game...as he said, save it for the real stuff.   He doesn't have to prove anything in this setting...he does his talking when it counts.
