thejazz97
@Canuck Surfer The point of it was to keep the divisions relatively realistic while redistributing some of the Metro's talent - it had to go somewhere, otherwise, with our playoff format, you'd have a team that's better than 75% of the league missing out on playoffs. So we (I say we, but the commissioner team at the time) swapped them with a rebuilding team that would make geographic sense. I believe both Nail and whoever was running Detroit (Drew?) would have been consulted. Obviously, now that Detroit is in the hunt for a playoff spot and Carolina will likely be brought down a notch due to their being over cap, the whole reason we moved the two is now moot, so we'll at the very least take a look at moving them back. 1

We see in RL how this often results in two high end teams playing each other early. This is why I prefer to just have top 8 make it in the west, top 8 in the east. Would solve any issues now and going forward. But no one else seems to like that idea. I like it. Simple, solves it. 1 1

I was making a point to all those lazy GMs who wanted to increase the cap rather than take the hit of a buyout. Every single team in the league can get under the cap. Plus, it felt really good to buy out Kesler 1
