I haven't left my house today so not sure

absolute crap.

the coast has an additional 20+ cents in municipal taxes the rest of the province doesn't have, but it's currently $1.09 in Penticton

I am just saying as that $100.00 changes hands multiple times throughout the year, taxes will be collected each time aka GST and PST

But yes, double taxation is how it works on all things...…….every time a dollar is spent..taxes are collected...….

Even the illegal underground economy will eventually surface and have to end up paying taxes somewhere...……..

I once saw a story about a tourist that was going to stay in a small hotel in a small Italian town. The tourist puts a hundred bucks on the counter and ask for a room key, but says he wants to check out the room first. The guest takes the key and goes upstairs to view the suite.

The hotel owner grabs the hundred and runs out to the bar to pay his tab.

The pub owner then pays his one waitress all the back wages he owed her.

She comes running to the hotel to pay her room fee, just as the tourist comes down the stairs and says " I'm not staying here after all" grabs his hundred and leaves town.

Some how all these people made money and an economy out of no money at all.

If it was a whole b.c thing then the whole province would pay mark up but that's not true.......

supply and demand.....

how did I change history?....
