Toffoli makes 4.6 right now , i think he might want a bit more than 4.8, probably around 5

But again, they've make it clear Demko's their guy of the future. Whether it's Marky walking this year, getting taken in expansion next, or traded 2'ish years from now, the clock on his time here is ticking...

Wonder if a one year offer has been floated to Marky. It avoids the exp draft. It lets Marky control his own destiny after the exp draft which could easily include an extension here creating a Marky-Demko pairing for at least a few more years.

I doubt he signs a one year just simply from a financial security standpoint.

 

If he's ok transitioning from a starting 50/30 split next season, to a 40/40 tandem then year following and a 30/50 backup role the season after... He might get to hang around 3-4 more years though.
