Yup.  The Panters booked their ticket to the Cup Final.  They will lose to us, but at least they went for it!  :towel:

If Bob can be even just decent I can't see anyone shutting down that offense over 7 games. They average 4+ goals a game and score a ton 5on5. Lundell  is looking like a beaut.

He isn’t worth a 3rd.

He’s a 3rd pairing player, playing 1st pairing minutes. He takes a lot of unnecessary penalties, and his xGA/60 is 8th amongst defensemen in the league.

And yet the eye test clearly shows he is a valuable player who helps in the playoffs.  I'll trust the actual hockey people over the crap Jfresh spews.

Id take Chiarot for a late first if I were panthers too.  The panthers are a stacked team from back to front.  Love the way that team is built.  Hope jr and alvin are taking notes.

The way they come in waves 5on5 makes me think unless Bob sucks they are gonna be hard to stop. Gonna be a tough match up for us in the final....

Only way the Panthers don't get to the Cup is if they suffer the loss of their number one D (Ekblad) like  what derailed the Lightening when Hedman got hurt a few years back.

Eye test means nothing if comes from a bias point of view.

He’s pretty much the equivalent to a Tucker Poolman. Now imagine us getting a prospect, a 4th and a late first for Poolman.

Chariot would  be the best D on the Loser Leafs, and it ain't even close.

And the analytics trash Jfresh spews means less than nothing; he is an absolute joke who can't get a job with an actual team for a reason.  Teams employ professional scouts for a reason.

People put way to much value on picks and prospects.

Different sport I know but the blue Jay's imo have done an almost perfect re-build and trading a ton of prospects  (can't trade picks) has been the last piece of the puzzle.

They have just a disgusting team built around the best of their best prospects surrounded with stars brought  in via trade using many of their top prospects to get them and topped off with big UFA signings.  They traded a kid today that was considered by many to be one of the top 3 pitchers in the last draft but fell to 17th because of Tommy Jon surgery. Last year traded a guy taken 4th overall in 2020 but both trades brought back legit superstars that will help now and that's how prospects for the most part should be viewed as, trade chips. It's why you always take bpa,

The only prospects or picks that should be off the table are players of Petey and Quinn caliber and top 3 picks.

Florida got a guy that should help them and make them a better team for a magic bean years if ever away, plus look at their division, they are in for a bloodbath with the Canes and TB at some point.

Bluejays approach doesn't really guarantee much cause if you look at the current beast, of the AL East: Tampa Ray's, they aren't overspending there way to a pennant, rather, they focus on there front office, drafting, prospect developement and selling high on any player (due to there top notch farm teams, Tampa can afford to trade key pieces). As for the Jays, I do understand, there approach cause they are trying to make the most of there young cores' pre arbitration years.

And more importantly, a lot of luck is required for any plan to work out, regardless, of what approach a GM, decides to do when building a team.

If you get shot and die with bullets left in the chamber that's losing.  Got to go all in when the time is right.  It's right (and now) for FLA and other teams.  The Loser Leafs should have done whatever it took to get Chiarot.  Stupid miss. Stupid Dubass.

The Laffs are playoff fodder with there questionable goaltending and lack of depth (especially, in the D core).  Otherwise, they are fine under the, Shanaplan.

They have 2 NHL quality D in Brodie and Lyubushkin, plus an injured Muzzin.  They also have Nylander and Marner who refuse to backcheck or even break a sweat in the playoffs.  You don't win when 3/5 of your highest paid players aren't even willing to try to play like NHLers in their own zone.

Otherwise, the Laffs aren't winning with that roster - GCG !  Imo, just like the Spoilers, they need a Demko.

Teams also hire an analytics department/staff (Rachel Doerrie), who have input on which players to scout.

Yes, but they aren't using that kind of trash that an unqualified dweeb is posting to drum up subscriptions, and the key is they're giving input on which players to scout.

They are more or less using the same data.
