Sharpshooter
By the way, if any Agent or Exec has an issue with me or anything I’ve said recently, then I’m more than willing to discuss it personally, out in the open or in a PM. Either one on one, or in a group chat. That is, if your Cabal allows you to. Edited September 16, 2022 by Sharpshooter

ActionJax09
Trading cap retention definitely would add another wrinkle into updating the cap sheets. Just another thing to keep track of. Just saying

Popular Post Ilunga
9 hours ago, Mike Vanderhoek said: ACTIVITY LEVELS: This is where the offseason transitions from the dog days of summer to preparation for the upcoming season. Dead air space may cause panic or question or give room for dissent? There has again been one trade, one voided, and less than 30 or so roster transactions / signings to update. There is no great inactivity or disregard for the keeping current it is summer. Every year. Also real life comes up, it can hit any one of us hard or take us away from the game. This was the case for myself multiple times during our 14 years. C2x was away nearly two years, TM took time, others had to step back. This is a game it always works out and we back eachother up and help where we can. Dave great you see you here after some times away. And must I bring up wilb, our friend, warrior and true epitome of an honest happy go lucky fair comrade here who played almost a decade this game while battling life altering and ultimately losing his battle to cancer. The guy just enjoyed being a part of a fun game was as active as he could be and never dipped into the drama. We could use more wilbs in a fun game that has its ups and downs but never loses focus. Darren Wilby a great guy. Someone we could model ourselves from. UPDATING SHEETS: Team sheets have not all been updated, sections re: salary structure or team's lines are not current either as we have updated the base roster and in saving time and work left the other areas until the season. There has been much discussion on how to utilize the sheets for the upcoming season as well as there is ALWAYS lag time in updating. Whether one person did it or others it has never been kept current up to the minute and while that is a frustration among us all no knight in shining armour ever did or continues to update sheets flawlessly. The updating of daily caphits and prorated contracts within the current system is why delays happen and we as a group have been looking into easing this so we all might enjoy a better process. There is a group of people who have volunteered, @Devron your suggestion of helping when your computer is up and running is a welcome notice as well. Please pm myself or any executive at your convenience. I asked c2x to please stop updating so we can ensure we are at the right spot in the process. The updates while appreciated by those asking hasn't followed the process is all. RUSH: As a former GM and a very active and productive member the door is always open to apply as is with any CDCGML alumni. There was no big being wronged or pushed out or anything. I was approached repeatedly about him leaving Columbus at the end of the season. I explained then and say it now you must apply for a position and there are no guarantees. Yes I would have foreseen no issue with him getting a GM role if he resigned from another. A GMs performance and conduct is taken into account during hires 110%. The executive group ( which is us, just fellow GMs working together to uphold the interest of the game and work through issues while helping keep this damn thing going - which also anyone can pm suggestions or ask to volunteer ) utilizes multiple points of view, opinion, contribution to move the game along. MEMBERSHIP VOICE: The league does its best to uphold the standard, fair play and transparency. Members are free to bring forth any suggestions etc via pm to any other member or executive. Last season a trade was submitted and voided. This involved an attempt to simply trade away cap retention from one club. This was denied as trading cap retention is not allowed in the NHL. This was a rule implemented in the CBA of our game afterwards. It is outlined in section 5.2 of the cba. Now an attempt was made this offseason to trade retention again. It has been voided as it is not allowed. I apologize to the teams involved Boston, New York and Philadelphia that this was not resolved sooner. The trade was submitted for review and the initial executive had to withdraw their time. I was also brought into the trade call and unexpectedly had to go offline for a month. So again apologies to those affected. @theo5789 I would hope your frustration will clear and you will care to rejoin the group. Your a solid dude and a pleasure to play the game with. Does the members have any questions about trading cap retention or feel it should be allowed? Please pm or let anyone here know. It is not anything the NHL tolerates we felt the same but any thoughts please feel free. Lastly, thanks to all you guys for your time. I know it gets frustrating and panicky when the season nears and things aren't tied up in the loose ends department. I look forward to another fun season with you guys and hope as we collectively awake from the summer slumber we can get into game shape. Not physically, I'm a lost cause but here anyways. Thanks Thanks Mike that really means a lot to me. In any group of friends there are people who are closer, and want to be, to others, than some other members of that group. Once I have invested myself in a person I will always feel connected to them. We are lucky to have each other, and this game we play, that mirrors the team sport we all love. Just remember there is a flower farmer just outside of Melbourne who has a home you can come and stay at any time you are in Australia. Not only that I will show you around, that's the ski bum way. That's the intense Dave way. 3 1 1
