I too like Dvorsky alot more. If we draft at 11th we might have to settle for best of the rest though.

If i had to guess how the top 12 in this draft goes I would say it is some order of Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Michkov, Smith, Reinbacher, Benson, Leonard, Moore, Dvorsky, Simashev, and Cristall

Having Moore and Dvorsky ranked in the later teens while having Barlow and Honzek in the top 10 is a bit wild to me

I don't mind Moore so much but it's going to be an up hill battle for him to play his style in pro's. Thats not a knock I love the way he plays we will see if he can do it against bigger stronger faster opponents.

I think Yager and Dvorsky belong in the 15-20 range. Yager doesn't wow me average skater average production meh defensively. Dvorsky is super inconsistent and not a good puck carrier. I see him as more of a PP specialist he's money on the cycle.

Barlow is a heck of a play driving winger with an elite shot and excels on both special teams he's definitely a top 10 for me.

Agree Honzek seems a bit high. But that's what the draft is all about people like who they like for the reasons they like them. He's got that size and silky mitts. Seems to have bambi legs and isn't strong enough yet but we will see as he grows into his frame.

And if winger is the position the Canucks end up going with then i would rather they grab Leonard, Barlow, Sale, or But

Honzek over But for me, no Russians unless its Michkov. Too risky with more mobilization likely coming in the future. I would drop most Russians 5-10 spots from where I would normally take them.

If you actually watch him play instead of stat watching youd see a kid who is easily one of the top C behind Bedard, Fantilli, and Carlsson. His teammates had absolutely no finish and hopefully next season he finds an SHL team or Allsvenskan squad to play on

I loved him in the World Juniors. A centre who plays the game with as much range as he does is a super exciting prospect.

Dvorsky is the go to guy for puck distribution on his U20 team. He is a plus skater, great 200 foot IQ, and size

But is a 6'5 winger who can absolutely move. Plus his hockey IQ is quite good

I quite like But! He skates quite well has an absolute rocket and is always getting involved on the wall. He's a guy who gets pucks.

Exactly, the kid is talented and if he had better teammates he would have the stats too match really

Looking very forward to top-11. I've always been a glass half full kinda guy, and I'm a very big fan of the pool of players to choose from in and around that range.

I also am happy with a top 12 pick. Would the higher chance at Bedard and Fantilli be nice? Obviously. But whoever we pick this year becomes our best prospect quite easily

Cristall will be in the 20”s. Simashev is not listed in the 1st round on most pro scout lists

I've done a fair amount of watching Dvorsky he's been on the radar for quite a while now after the tremendous year he had last year. With him on paper ticking a lot of boxes for me as a Canucks fan and fan of the draft I've watched quite a few of his games and mostly found him underwhelming considering all the hype. But that's just my opinion based on what I've seen he's not a top 10 for me. Obviously I'm in the minority on that opinion as he's consistently ranked top 10.  I just haven't seen it and I can only go on what I have seen.

I can see someone grabbing Cristall higher because of his stats. And Simashev is probably the best defenceman in this draft. Washington or St Louis could scoop him up and i would not be shocked at all

The problem I think is that most people saw him last season and figured he was trending towards Fantilli/Carlsson type of player but in honesty this kid would be an amazing 2C behind Petey for the next 10 years

People keep saying it I just haven't seen it. I'd take Danielson personally if I'm looking at it through that lens.

It this mostly based on his pro games or limited play at the junior level? The Allsvenskan is a very tough league he has been playing in this year, you can look at high end guys like Ohgren and Lekkerimaki who have struggled to produce there. I think the fact that Dvorsky has a late birthday and is still only 17 years gets lost a bit with how much pro hockey he has already played in his career.

Agreed. Dvorsky to me is better than Slafkovsky was at the same age, and has produced at a better rate than Slaf at every level thus far. The only difference is Slaf is bigger and played in the Liiga.

That's a nice video. I dont think he makes it to our pick 9-11/12.

Id be very happy with selecting him though.

Hes a pretty rare combination RHD, Size Skating

Already playing against men and ex Nhlers. HEs not just there but excelling ini a league where they aggressively forecheck and pressure dmen let alone young dmen. And hes been a big leader on his team from the blue line. At his age its pretty amazing.

I cant see him sliding to 10.

I dont want to stay he will be the next Seider or Better or whatever.

But its hard not see or project him as a top 4 dman. I really like him.
