hockeyfan90
canucks defense would be nothing without hamhuis! remember last year when hamhuis got injured in the stanley cup finals in game 2? It all went downhill for the canucks since then and boston ended up scoring 21 goals in 5 games after that while the canucks only scored 4 goals! Hamhuis was a HUGE reason for canucks failure in the stanley cup finals both offensively and especially defensively. Can't also rule out sedins disappearing and luongo choking as well
cmpunk
Wow didn't realize that. Hamhuis is always unoticed, and thats good because shows he is so sound defensively. Even when picking up points I barely notice or realize its him getting points. Dan Hamhuis Team Canada Olympics 2014?! Very possible if he stays consistant. At one point on TSN a while back he was projected to be on the team. Imagine Weber and Hamhuis as the shutdown pairing!!! WOW
cmpunk
The top 5 leaders in +/- are all Bruins, then Hamhuis! lol then Sharp and Boychuck after Hammer....He is stuck between Hawks and Bruins!!!!!

NUCKS4CUP 28
It's crazy to think how underrated he was when he played in Nashville. I love that we got him here and other teams pretty much just skipped over his name when looking at the FA's.

Hock-E-Dad
I'll believe this to my dying day, Hamhuis getting injured in the SCF game two cost us the Cup.. Fortunately, he looks pretty healthy this year!! GO Nucks!!

Losing With Pride
Of course he is our best dman. He was drafted top 10 in his year for a reason. He was brought in to replace Mitchell and to lead our defense. If he hadn't gotten hurt we would have won the cup.
Starmie
Loosing Hammer last year during the playoffs was a HUGE loss for the Canucks, the defence was practically dead from then on

MoneypuckOverlord
I'm hoping he is sending text msgs to Suter and telling him to join the Canucks next year.
Stark
Along with everything else he brings to the team, he also provides leadership. I can see him getting assigned an "A" in the near future.
ice orca
Hamhius quietly goes about his job never compains and to me is one of the most efficient Dmen in the league. The so called expert pundits on the major networks hardley even know he exists.
