Put Gillis in..let him take pucks to the face for managing to make last years team weaker.

Then AV can relieve him with himself in the 3rd if he wants for being outcoached so many times.

Empty net.

I actually thought we did pretty well 5 on 5 with the empty net haha.

Lu should start, he was the best Canuck in games 1 and 2. I understand why Schneider started but at the end of the day it didn't work unfortunately.

Flip a coin. Goal tending is the least of the problems. I'm no genius but you need to score more than your opponent.

Sure thing, Harvey Two-face.

Luongo.

Schneider had his chance and played amazing but a loss is a loss.
Gotta stick with Lu until the end.

I'm pretty sure Luongo won't allow more than a goal on 20 shots either...

who cares who's in net? god himself wouldn't have won the game for us even if he doesn't give up a goal.. we'll just be playing a 0-0 game til the player die of exhaustion

I doubt either will make a difference in game 4, but I voted for Luo.

If the team falls apart I'd rather it be infront of him (yeah I'm a prick).

Yes, let's punish Luongo(and Schneider respectivly) because the "ALL STAR, OMG SEW CLASSY AND AWESOME" Sedins aren't scoring. And before you get defensive and say, "Well Daniel hasn't been playing!" Please take a look at the past 3 years.

2009 - Couldn't score on Khabby; both Sedins played
2010 - Couldn't score on Niemi; both Sedins played
2011: - Couldn't score on Thomas; both Sedins played

Having only one Sedin isn't the problem, the problem is that we've built our team around the Sedins to begin with.

Luongo currently ranks 16th and Schneider 4th in GAA among 19 goalies who got a start. Luongo again ranks 16th and Schneider 5 th in Save percentage. But still everyone has to guess whom AV is going to start after we saw what happened in the past this team dealt with Cloutier and Luongo.

Schneider. all the way, sure we lost with him tonight, but by far the best chance we had at winning a game this series. Luongo is a great goalie and a great person but I feel myself bracing for dissapointment a lot with him. It's not the goals or the amount he lets in, or whether its his fault or not, it's just he always seems to not be able to make that save when you really need it.

Stop being melodramatic. Schneider clearly gives us a better chance to win in the eyes of Canucks fans and the rest of the hockey world. Only Luongo fans can't realize this.

Luongo stole game 7 in Chicago, he stole the Nashville series, and he was the first goalie to ever get two 1-0 wins in the SCF. But yeah, I guess you're right. Schneider gives us a better chance of winning.

(last line was obviously sarcastic).

Not going to lie, Im feeling pretty discouraged.. But Schneids gave us a good chance tonight. LA had some decent scoring chances, no doubt in my mind Luongo would not have stopped that 3 on 1.

But again, main thing is we are going to have to score goals.. no matter who it is in game 4.

I would most definitely hope it's not Luongo in game 4. He's due for his annual playoff implosion. Snap back into reality kiddo.

I'm not sure anymore! I chose Schneider. Schneider may be more consistent in this situation. Defense didn't fall apart in front of him. And I do agree that Lu wouldn't have stopped that 3-on-1. Either way, I'll be cheering for the Canucks!

In general, our game was better tonight than the last 2. Less turnovers. PP was threatening...sorta. Gotta stop shooting on the crest and get some rebounds! Funny thing, every time there was a rebound, nobody was there!

Ya, it's not like any of those were defensive breakdowns or anything... how about giving up 3 goals in 17 shots in a period, to a team that didn't even make the playoffs?

Ugh, i hate getting into these "who did what" back and forths because the truth is both our Goalies are good and both have played well so far, but the team played much better defensively today...

Yeah, because we traded a Swede to go get the black hole of passes to pair with Kesler. Oh, and we traded for Chris Higgins, Max Lapierre, Sammy Pahlsson, but promoted Alex Burrows from within to pair with the Sedins.

Your post makes absolutely no sense and is an utter fail.

Shanahan went soft on Keith.

Did You Know?

Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo stopped 31 shots in posting his second shutout of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. He previously made 36 saves in blanking the Bruins 1-0 in Game 1 of the series.

Luongo joins an elite group of goaltenders to have posted multiple shutouts in a single Stanley Cup Final (see below) and is the first since Toronto’s Frank McCool in 1945 to record a pair of shutouts by a 1-0 score.

Most Shutouts in Stanley Cup Final (since 1927)

3 - Frank McCool, Toronto 1945 7 GP vs. Detroit
Martin Brodeur, New Jersey 2003 7 GP vs. Anaheim

2 - Clint Benedict, Mtl. Maroons 1928 5 GP vs. NY Rangers
Earl Robertson, Detroit 1937 5 GP vs. NY Rangers
Johnny Mowers, Detroit 1943 4 GP vs. Boston
Harry Lumley, Detroit 1945 7 GP vs. Toronto
Terry Sawchuk, Detroit 1952 4 GP vs. Montreal
Gerry McNeil, Montreal 1953 3 GP vs. Boston
Gump Worsley, Montreal 1965 4 GP vs. Chicago
Patrick Roy, Colorado 2001 7 GP vs. New Jersey
Chris Osgood, Detroit 2008 6 GP vs. Pittsburgh
Roberto Luongo, Vancouver 2011 5 GP vs. Boston

You need to score goals to win games. You don't score goals, a brick wall with a puck-sized hole isn't winning you the cup. I don't presume who we should fire or add, but I know either goalie will give Canucks a better chance to win than LA has, any day of the week. Every game is Canucks' to lose.

Have you learned nothing at all?

Tonight Quick stopped 41 of 41. How many of those were scoring chances? Most of the shots tonight came from the point and the Canucks put up eight scoring chances. You clearly can't comprehend the sport you're watching.

Stop being melodramatic. Schneider clearly gives us a better chance to win in the eyes of Canucks fans and the rest of the hockey world. Only Luongo fans can't realize this.

How many defensive lapses were there tonight? How many times did we give up a short-handed chance on our own power play tonight? Give your head a shake. You're a bandwagon fan at best.

It's a shame that I am classified with the likes of you, as a 'Canucks Fan'.

He imploded in the Chicago series, dont try and argue that and yes I will give him credit for game 7, Nashville had little to no offensive power that series and you forgot to mentiion Ryan Kesler's 12 points, 2 shutouts were great but they were negated when he once again imploded in 3 games
