Upshall would be salary we'd have to take back. Good veteran third or fourth line character guy. Markstrom would be a solid backup to Schneider. But I'd like to have this goalie situation resolved as it's becoming a distraction for all parties involved including fans. Booth Weiss Kesler would be a great 2nd line. Booth? not exactly what we expected.. ballard? kinda not what we expected.. even Luongo? ppl are trying to run him out of town... Every player that did well/decent in Florida ends up flopping here in Vancouver.. so basically you guys want Gillis to dump Luongo to florida for project players that may not even work out when our windows are closing fast? If we trade Luongo we need a top 6 forward back at least.. our issue last year is offense and defense.. trading Luongo for asset players doesn't address any of the needs and doesn't improve on the chance of winning a cup... most of those players will probably not even make an impact on the team till the sedins are on a full decline.. Burke signs offer sheet to Schneider for $4.5-5 mill/yr for 6 years. 2. Gillis is forced to match. Canucks then have 2 goalies in the $5 mill range on roster. 3.
