Pears
Tweets from Botch today: @taj1944 @samjam99 thanks for clarifying, and for the record I have TO, chi and a mystery team who arrived late to the party @botchford who is this mystery team? San Jose? Anahiem? Edmonton? Am I close? @CanuckleSmith can't say I'm 100% sure but one of those would be a good guess Says right now, TO/Chi/Mystery are the teams involved. Wonder who mystery team is?

higgyfan
Should HAVE said that about Hodgson. That has got to be one of my biggest pet peeves.

oldnews
Haha samjam and Botchford speculating! I'll be holding my breath... Has Botchford finally been revealed as samjam's secret source? Also, trying to predict a Burke move is like counting the blades of grass in your lawn. I remember his tenure in Vancouver. Yes he needs a goaltender, but there is scarcely anyone as reticent to make moves. Maybe he'll surprise us. What eastern rival backtalks like that? Adding another player up front doesn't make much sense with that blueline behind them. Meh.

Ossi Vaananen
That's waaaay not enough. What about To Vancouver: Troy Brouwer + 2013 1st To Washington: Roberto Luongo That's a little more fair.

The-Impersonator
He was responding to a samjam tweet that said Botch was specifically talking about Tor. Botch was saying it's not specifically Tor.
WiDeN
All along I've been saying Washington could be the dark horse/mystery team to land Luongo. Plus Washington I think has better pieces than Chicago and Toronto.

oldnews
Braden Holtby looks pretty promising, I'm not sure Washington's in a rush to hitch themselves to another lifetime deal. And I also wouldn't be so sure that Lou would want to go there, anyway.

oldnews
At least I'm not trying to speak on behalf of respected NHL owners like Mike Illitch: I imagine Devallano's boss was pleased with his analogy, but it's reductive and doesn't hold water for a number of reasons.
