ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Not to many people know this, but yesterday in Russia, Canada played against Russia. It was a reunion from the 1972 Summit Series teams, but many participants from the thrilling 1987 Canada Cup series faced off in an exhibition game. I didn't know Cliff Ronning was going to be playing for team Canada, but anyways he scored a couple of nice goals. It's the goal he scored on a penalty shot that has a lot of people talking, he made the goal look like it was nothing, it was sick, check it out. Pretty sick! Here is his other goal. Tearloch7
In today's game, without the clutch and grab, Cliff would be a very effective player .. like another Jeff Skinner .. even more effective than he was when interference was the name of the game .. Snake Doctor
Nice post. I am just wondering looking at Ronning's stick if it is legal. Blade looks oversized.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
...but this was already posted in the General Hockey forum, since it's not directly related to the current Canucks team. /topic/335241-legendscanada-vs-russia-sept-5th-2012/">http://forum.canucks...-sept-5th-2012/

CmdrAdama
Cliff was one of my favourite players on the team, of any era. Thanks for the post!
CanuckCup1316
Ok quick poll. Who would you rather have playing for the Canucks next season (whenever that may be)? Cliff Ronning or Mason Raymond?
WeDreamOfStanley
He was the first NHL player I ever met when I was a kid, will always be one of my favourite... I would take him over Raymond in a heart beat, look at the numbers Cliff put up in the clutch and grab as a small guy... Raymond gets knocked over easy in todays NHL, imagine Raymond back then? SkeeterHansen
If you want to make something look bigger than it is, take a picture of Cliff Ronning holding it.
