Phil_314 Posted October 8, 2012 Share Posted October 8, 2012 Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians (and welcomes are extended to any American neighbours frequenting CDC who celebrate this day to give thanks!) I'm thankful simply for many things taken for granted these days, privileges that we enjoy in first world countries that people in other nations can only dream of. Think about it, as first-world citizens (and esp. for those of us who are Vancouverites) we enjoy some of the cleanest water and air in the world, health care, stellar living conditions (albeit slightly overpriced but still), quality choice of food, enough money to afford what we want and likely still have some savings, a safe living environment, a decently stable economy in these tough times and so many freedoms! The fact we can walk to a grocery store and buy a thanksgiving dinner for under $100 (below average 8 hour income) is truly incredible, and we take things like this for granted everyday.
