vancouverdepression
How Gary Bettman still has a job is baffling. Good luck filling up your pockets when you cancel another season and treat hockey fans like pieces of crap!
Smashian Kassian
I burst out laughing at Gary's last response, pure comedy.

RAMBUTANS
Everyone, I told you so. There won't be a season this year. Now, watch this lockout to drag on for 2 seasons. You've been informed.

RunningWild
Ya, never seen Gary like this. He's irrational and out of control. They better take a day to calm down before they make any decisions. Cause as it stands now, things will go nuclear.
Smashian Kassian
"Were at a loss to explain what happened" - GB What this really means is: I can't think of an excuse dumb enough to justify our stubbornness. Edit: "We keep giving and giving and giving" Can someone please go up there and please explain to him that they have given nothing compared to the what the PA has
boxiebrown
So the NHL's position on CBA length and contracting issues is "We'll only give you a 10 year CBA (which the players don't want) if you agree to everything else we say." Great deal!!
Hobble
If Oct.11 was Bettman's "drop-dead date", then why did they start negotiating so late and low-ball the NHLPA with a horrendous initial offer?!?

boxiebrown
Does he seriously believe that the owners have given "all they can give?" They literally have not made a single concession in the entire process. They want us to believe that paying contracts they've already signed is a concession. It's not. Good lord what a tool. poetica
Real_ESPNLeBrun Bettman says the owners pushed hard on new deal last night. Bettman says union response last night was "shockingly silent." Real_ESPNLeBrun Bettman says owners last night in room were beside themselves at the players' reaction. Jai604
Really thought crap was getting done when Fehr said there was an agreement in dollars. The last few days have really turned my support against the owners and Bettman. I have no idea what concessions he thinks they've given, but I don't see them. No idea what the frack happened, but it's clear now that there can't be a deal made for this season. I didn't think there was going to be one anyway, but the false hope we received today kind of pisses me off.
