Forsy
Ohlund, Ehrhoff, Salo, all great players that chased more money than they were worth, good for them. All smart business decisions by Canucks management. It's gonna be smart come the reckoning of next year. Good luck to most of the good teams next year, when they need to shed 4-6M of cap space in a single year. When we trade luongo, and/or drop ballard raymond malhotra (all fairly redundant players), we will be in good position to pick up someone else and we will be in better position than those teams with 7-9M$ forwards and defensemen. Swedish Vikings
Why is our cap so tight? we have like 800K to spare
EmployeeoftheMonth
Why is our cap so tight? we have like 800K to spare 9.33 mil in goalies would be a really good reason. What's this have to do with either Salo or Garrison?
EmployeeoftheMonth
LOL You sure have a knack of smoking these guys out. What's tomdavie rockin' with as of late? I haven't seen his shtick much this year. Scott Gomez and plummeting league revenues, ftw. He was drybone until he snapped...again.
Baggins
[sALO UPDATE] As of January 29th. 2013, Salo played 5 games and has 5 assist and 5 points. He's 1 PPG. +9 Rating. TAKE THAT MIKE GILLIS Salo 0 goals Garrison 1 goal and 10 years younger. Unfortunately, for a d-man to get assists, somebody else actually has to score. Something most of our forwards have had trouble doing. Garrison also leads our team in +/-. Not too shabby for the "new" guy. He'll get better as he develops chemistry. Bodee
Sami went there to tell Hedman how great Vancouver is! and as far as Garrison goes, he wanted to be a Canuck and he took less money to play here, nuff said! Ah so stats do lie. We have indeed got ourselves a bargain. How do we go about getting Hedman?
Markus Alexander Cody
I was sad to see Sami go, one of my favorite Canucks of all time I like the guy so much that he is in a strange catagory where I find myself happy that he is doing great in Tampa and I only wish the guy the best. Kinda like when Linden, Bure, Naz, Wellwood, Rycroft and BMO left. For some reason Burt, Mitchell, and COHO sting me a little different. I wish those guys the worst Willie Mitchell left because he wanted to win a Cup and felt Vancouver wasn't the right team for him. Lo and behold, he has his Cup ring.... Tom Sestito
Interesting bump. I said before the season started garrison will lead ohr defense in points and get 50. He's on pace for 49.6.
