Heretic
He would have never needed the second shutout if he just played DECENTLY in games 3 and 4. Even after getting the shutout and even if he was forgiven for those games after game 5, what does he do next game? Hooked after 3 goals in what would become the fastest four goals in SCF history. Mustapha
We played the worst team in the NHL. Cory let in 1 goal in regulation. We should be able to score more than 1 goal in regulation against the worst team in the NHL.
Heretic
God lord. We played the worst team in the NHL. Cory let in 1 goal in regulation. We should be able to score more than 1 goal in regulation against the worst team in the NHL. The SCF wasn't Lu's fault. Although unlike Cory he didn't let in 1 goal in regulation against the NHL's worst team, he let in alot when we needed a big save. Cory made alot of big saves in this game. Cory got us the point, how anyone can blame Cory when the entire rest of the team is playing like **** and the coaching staff is as incompetent as can be, is just remarkably stupid. Smashian Kassian
I'm not blaming Cory for the loss - that's the difference. I'm blaming the Canucks for not scoring...
BuretoMogilny
Did anyone else notice Edler had another sub par game? How long is his leash going to be? I seem to recall guys like Subban, Myers, Gologoski, Vlasic, and Fowler watching from the press box once or twice in the last few years.

Down by the River
I like how this PGT has turned into 5+ pages on the classic Lu vs Schneider debate when goaltending was not even the problem in this game.
Guest
2 hits in first period tonight! No excuse.
Primus099
Lou gave up those goals early in those losses...the Canucks didn't have time to score a goal. Having said that, there were other issues, namely Hamhuis being injured and Rome thrown out of the series (which i still don't agree with) It wasn't ALL Lou's fault...but he wasn't very good either. It was a poor end to that series all around.
cmpunk
Yep lets just assume alright... Hell ppl use Cory's 90ish NHL games as saying not shown enough but now were gonna rest our future on a goalie who hasn't even played a single NHL game.. Seriously? Noheart
that 8-1 blowout in game 3 was 0-0 after the first period. How much time do they need? your goalie can't keep it scoreless every game and wait for the team to score 1 goal with 18 seconds left in the game
Primus099
Have I traveled back in time and stumbled upon the SCF GM 7 PGT? Or wait This is hell! I must be dead! Noooooooooooo!

BuretoMogilny
No we are talking about the future. Lack will be backing up Lu and if Schneider is traded would be on the team next year. Luongo still has a solid 3-4 years left in him, and would work as a great mentor to Eddie as they both play similar styles. I personally want to see Lack the future goalie of this team in 2-3 years
