Just wondering if there has ever been any talk about the Canucks doing an Oil Change / 24-7 type documentary with the team? And if not, why not? I know the Canucks do the "behind the lens" stuff but obviously has nowhere near the insight as behind the scenes video would be. It would certainly be a hit with the fans. If the Oilers and Habs can do it, why can't the Canucks?

It would really give the fans a new level of appreciation and understanding of the day-to-day operations as well as the camaraderie between the players and coaches. Something we just don't get to see unfiltered.

Not only would it get the fans feeling closer to the team/players but I'm sure it would help reel in new fans if they got to know our team a little better. Win/win for everyone.

I like the one the Canadiens do way more. Oil change seems like child's play compared to that one.

I've always wanted a 24/7 type thing, it would be so awesome to see what it's like behind closed doors but I doubt we'll ever get to see.

See I don't get why not though? A lot of teams are putting their own things together (doesn't have to be the big HBO 24/7 show). Is this just a Gillis thing? Doesn't want to give away the "secrets"? If so, that's a tad ridiculous.

I saw that pic on the front page of Bieksa rubbing Kassian's head at dinner... just got me thinking it'd be great to see that kind of stuff on video... pictures just don't do it.

I'd love to see a 24/7 on the Canucks, that'd be awesome.

One reason why they may have done an Oilers one & not a Canucks one yet is that that Canucks don't really have the same challenges as a team. I mean, we've won 6 of the last 8 division titles, on our way to a 7th, back-to-back President's Trophies, Selke's, Art Ross's, Jenkin's, etc. Not very riveting T.V., "Canucks still kick-ass!" where's the drama?

A post-season 24/7 on the Canucks would be insane! It'd probably be considered cruel and unusual punishment to put players, coaches & staff through that in the middle of the playoffs though...behind the scenes video of the 2011 Cup loss would make me sob like a little girl.

It would be awesome if the Canucks on 24/7. But HBO won't allow to have any Canadian teams on their show

Ya, but nothing's stopping the team from doing their own a la Oilers and Habs. Doesn't have to be HBO. They even have the same voiceover guy as 24/7 doing the work. The Habs one is produced by RDS and aired on TSN. Just hire the same crew!

The thing I hate about Oil Change is every time the Oilers lose they act like it is a lesson to be learned, every time.

Like FFS you have lost for 3 years in a row. How many more lessons do you need to learn? I'm pretty sure at this point we can see the team just flat out isn't good enough. And there isn't any "learning" they can do that will change it around really.

Gillis is too secretive he would never consent to a behind the scenes all access pass. Don't want to give away what goes on in the mind room and other things they are working on

However I'm sure he'll have a keen eye on 24/7 next year to see as much as he can about how the Red Wings run their organization.

It would be interesting, but it may be a distraction to the team.

I'm shocked they haven't caught on and started doing this. Aquilinis department is usually on top of any extra cash grabs.

I would love it if we started doing iit too. 24CH is fantastic... oiil change is pretty good too

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

Canucks series would probably be pretty boring, bunch of married men and a family atmosphere. Hamhuis controls the music and plays Chrisitan rock and country

Can't be as bad as the virginal Oiler boys prancing around like little princes. Just download the Bebe's latest CD!!!

No, I wouldn't want to see the Nucks involved in that. Way too much exposure and invasion of privacy.

Sedins Edler Hamhuis Raymond Hansen even Kesler are all quiet

Donno if Lappy Burrows Schneider And Juice could carry the show.

Did you see Bryz's last series in Phoenix??

The guy was playing poorly long before he went to Philly.

I'd like to see that too, but I feel like the canucks organization is more secretive and professional than organizations like the oilers, which seem more working-class.

the last thing this team needs is a reality gong show.

i know some Edmonton Oilers and the show is a big time distraction.

seriously, the last thing the Canucks need is another distraction.

"I haven't been a supporter of the Canucks for long. Mainly because firstly I knew nothing about NHL GL and secondly ESPN America only started showing NHL 3 years ago. I was unattached to any team when I first started watching although I could easily have gone for the Philadelphia Flyers as my home team which I supported in my youth and for 20 years was the Fife Flyers."

Exactly. They don't need some stupid reality show following them after every ???? game. I would hope they never do this.

only some of the most dumbed down human beings on the planet would try and call themselves Canuck fans and want to add a reality tv show crew into this mindchecked mess.

We are a boring team I would think as others have mentioned. However, Juice, Kes, Schnieds, Hansen, Burrows and Ballard would be more than worth the price of admission. Kassian and Lapierre would be funny too.
