Twilight Sparkle
Well, neither team will get out of the second round barely scoring two goals a game.
ALTtimegreat
This is funny since MOST of the "core" that couldn't get it done over the past 3-4 years are the guys that were brought in by Burke and Nonis. The grievous error in judgement made by Gillis was his belief that the Sedins, Edler, Burrows, and Luongo had what it took to win the Cup, and putting them with a coach who thought that the core was good/accountable enough to run the room, with minimal interference. It's obvious that this group are a bunch of pretenders. It's time to rid the team of these four guys and bring in new pieces to the remaining core group...obviously, easier said than done. Gillis hasn't done the team any favors by painting it into a corner with what has turned out to be ridiculous contracts for Luongo, Burrows and Edler. It's time for MG to walk the talk...make the BOLD moves you spoke of when you took over four years ago, MG. Tired of MG's lip service and the verbal diahrea that flows from AV to all the players, talking about "the process" and "playing the right way". So much for all the bravado that came from AV, Henrik and Daniel about the time being now...what a pile of BS...thanks for showing up for the past 18 months. The physical and mental flyweights on the Canucks roster have to go, and it starts with the Sedins and Burrows. They need to be replaced by legitimate middle and heavyweights who can play the game. It's also time for AV to hit the bricks. Until tonight, I defended this group, but I have to say, they can't deliver when it matters most...as good a people as they are, their time as Canucks hockey players has run its course and we should get something of value for them while we can. If the Luongo situation has taught us anything, you have to make a move before it hurts the short and long term prospects for the team. It's time. Master Mind
Such a shame we'll be trading one our few players that has played well in these playoffs... Relying on Lu way too much. Kesler is the only Canuck to score this series. How sad. The Sedins are being too cute with the puck at the wrong times. They did manage to assist on our PP goal. Reffing awful again. 1 PP all game? So many non calls. Playoff hockey is a joke. Yet everyone just accept that the refs put their whistles away, or better yet, do whatever they please. Pathetic. Barry_Wilkins
If we plan on continuing- that shows absolutely everything that is wrong with this coach.
yogolol
I still can't get over the Canucks blowing this game, how do you miss that empty net Hansen my god.
DeNiro
A lot more tough saves? Than Niemi? Canucks had three 2-on-1s in the second period alone! Go to bed.
bobopan
Rebuild time as far as im concerned if were ousted here in the 1st round. Only so much a fan can watch as this core continues to fail. Same old problems with this team, outside of Kesler who was in beast mode we have no offense.

Twilight Sparkle
And who are they playing? The LA kings. A low scoring team that relies on their goalie (kind of like we've become). San Jose is a much different team that is more likely than not going to score 2 goals a game. That's why I wanted LA in the first round. We'd probably at least have a split right now. The Brahma Bull
That was a rhetorical preface. But then people with only a tiny portion of grey matter between their ears easily misrepresent the meaning of what others say.
coolcat13
They weren't winning anything anyway with the way they've been playing all season long. Better to get swept and not bother wasting anyone's time.
DeNiro
with the way the kings are running around on a much bigger st louis team, i disagree
chrisbanks
MG has not made one dominant trade since he has got here. The most exciting player he has acquired is Sundin lol and now roy but even he hasn't showed up as of now. If AV is getting fired then gillis needs to hold his hand on the way out because this mess is due to both of those people.
DIBdaQUIB
If, as the team keeps saying, the playoffs are all that matter, Kesler showed why he should be wearing the "C". THe Sedins are embarrassing in their lack of physicality and leadership. I mean, do they really inspire confidence? Would you really be inclined to go out there nad sacrifice your body for the team knowing that after you bleed to gain the O-zone, the Twins will go out for their shift and poke at the puck from a safe distance? badbeatjackpot
There were some iffy penalties against us today. I wish AV would just rage on the refs for once. Sick and tired of him looking helpless as he looks at the replay on the jumbotron shaking his head and chewing his gum.
