Strombone1
Vancouver Canucks @VanCanucks #Canucks have acquired defenceman Raphael Diaz from Montreal in exchange for Dale Weise. Formal announcement to follow. Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun Habs and Canucks trade: Diaz for Weise. A little brawn for the Canadiens, while Van gets puck-moving D Harrison Mooney @HarrisonMooney Diaz is a righty, which solves a big problem for the Canucks right now. Patrick Kane
Nice! Diaz on his game is a good puck-mover. Incredibly soft, but a much needed element on the back end.
Warhippy
Seriously? Why....Diaz is so small and Weise while kind of a speedbag at times was a 4th line player with upside. Uggghhhh queue 14 pages of how this is our reset, Bold moves comments and Gillis needing to be fired.

Weise was a redundant 4th liner. This might not be beneficial but it could help the pp.
Jägermeister
Diaz is an improvement over Weber, and Weise has been arguably our least impressive forward over the past 20 games. I'll take it. Plus we have 9 Olympians now
King Heffy
Diaz is a pretty solid player. I didn't mind Weise, but he hasn't been nearly as good since coming back from his injury. He's expendable with guys like Grenier and Archibald imo. I like this trade. Could be a precursor to a defenseman on the move?

Warhippy
Just wondering what Diaz brings to the table that Weber doesn't or didn't? Could this be the prelude to an Edler trade?
Captain Aerosex
I like this trade at face value; Diaz is a better overall player than Weise, and we need good d-men badly what with the injuries. Will have to see how it plays out.
Batmania
Good deal. Weise was redundant on this team and seemed to be sitting in the press box more often lately.
schlaBAM
I thought Dutch Gretzky would have been a good addition to a trade to acquire a forward.. Not sure how I feel about this one yet.

Armada
Decent deal. Could be a sign of things to come. Also, I'll always be saying "Hey Diaz" because of this

This might not be beneficial but it could help the pp. At this point anything could help the PP, couldn't make it worse. Redundant or not Weise was still playing harder than most of our top six sadly. I don't expect bold moves, never did. but this rabid fan base uses the "bold moves" comments constantly
