brbetts542
Here is something that may excite some of you. Virtanen, Bo, Kassian Shink, Mccann, Vey Dank, Hank, Jensen Fox, Bonino, Lain Hammer, Juice Tanev, Edler Sbisa, Corrado Miller Lack Note: Room for a 2015 Draft pick if capable and which of the first 3 lines is our 1st..... This would be a young/inexperienced line up but give them a few years and they look like contenders.

CanucksCup2018
Sedin's will not be third liners lol They will be first/second until they leave here. Heck even Sundin was playing on the second line at 40 man.... The kids will not be ready to be assuming the reigns in a year...expectations a bit too high friend

brbetts542
I should change the title to 16/17 or 17/18. However, this is more or less what I think our line up needs to look like to win the cup. The twins can not be our 1st line, especially at mid-late 30's. I say this line up could be contenders as soon as 17/18.
Odjickwillkillyou
Horvat will be a 2C. His 2-way game is great, but he is not going to put up a ton of points. I see him as a Selke'esque 50-60 point per year player who excels in the Playoffs. If the Twins are playing on the 3rd line, we just need to do the right thing and trade them to DET or another team that covets them.
brbetts542
Why would you want to trade the twins just because they are not playing 1st line minutes? I think our best chance of being a contender 2 or 3 years from now is them not getting other teams best d-pairing in the playoffs.
MJDDawg
Way too soon for those young guys in those roles. In our best case scenario, the twins would be second liners that season. Likely it would still be Hank as first line centre and Dank somewhere on the second or third. Bo isn't our future number 1 centre so we still need to find that guy for this organization. And that bottom 6 as you've structured won't help us beat any of the powerhouses in the West.

This would be a young/inexperienced line up but give them a few years and they look like contenders. Bo hopefully, Shinkaruk would be great, but I highly doubt we will see Virtanen, McCann, Bo, Shink, Corrado all make the team, and be mainstays by 15/16. Incredibly unrealistic. We would have lucky to have 2 of them stick... And maybe find a spot for Vrbata... we just inked him for 2, so he will be with our top 6 likely in 15/

elvis15
In before someone creates a 2016/17 lineup thread. I should change the title to 16/17 or 17/18. So there couldn't be anyone added other than our current prospects?

smokejump
Gaunce has alot of work ahead of him to be an effective bottom 6 nhler. Where is Danny in all of this? Gaunce improved a lot this last season. his speed went from 4/10 to a good 8/10 One year in utica against some men and I think he can easily slide into a 3rd line role. Forgot danny i just replace him with Virtanen and Shinkaruk assuming they're better than him in 2 years
Canucks4Life250
2015/2016 Regular Season D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Jensen Shinkaruk - Bonino - Vrbata Higgins - Horvat - Kassian Virtanen - Gaunce - Burrows Healthy scratch: Zalewski Hamhuis - Bieksa Tanev - Corrado Sbisa - Edler Healthy scratch: Sanguinetti, Stanton Miller Lack Gotta think realistically not NHL14 lol
2009cupchamps
the young players on the team this year will be Kassian, Bonino, Vey, Corrado? every year following don't expect more than 1 to 2 young players moving up to the big club. The rest will be Trades or UFA to deal with the change over. Next year I can only possibly see Horvat and one of Jensen or Guance to be ready also. The last thing we need is to fill our team with youth and end up like the Oilers. The combination of Vets, players with 3-5 years experience and new blood. That's what's makes a successful team. LeanBeef
Gaunce has alot of work ahead of him to be an effective bottom 6 nhler. Â Where is Danny in all of this? Gaunce already looked as effective as Pahlsson in his time with the Canucks during the preseason.
