Man there are some good teams shaping up in this league. This is a crazy good quality group of GM's.

I just drafted Perron which reminded me that the first trade I ever made in a keeper league was as a first year Minnesota GM in CDCGML in 2011. I traded Perron from Minnesota to Pittsburgh (Sharpshooter was the GM) for Dany Heatley, Frans Nielsen, and Jack Skille.

Man the team i inherited was garbage lol

Hey commish team,

Does drafting a player with the intention to trade them, count similarly to a “sign and trade” in terms of GM rep?

good question, haven't done anything like that yet but in reading this it occurs to me that once we are done, and before the season, there maybe trades. what happens there?

It would be subjective on whether it’s intentional; But in some scenarios it will be obvious, ie: drafting way over the cap on purpose, or drafting 15 NHL defensmen.

Was also curious about the entry draft too, because I traded a prospect I just drafted in Puck (because I hate Ottawa), which is pretty similar to a sign and trade.

We'll discuss it, but my initial feeling would be no bad rep as that would dissuade all potential deals in the near future since every player would fall under that category.

Yes, this is correct.

We are all currently building our teams which is a totally different situation than everyone having established teams, signing or re-signing a player, and then immediately moving. As of now, you build your team however you feel is best for you and what you decide to do with the players is up to you.

Actual free agent signings/re-signings would be a totally different story.
