Capitals' struggles in the playoffs continue. Honestly, they should just blow it up.

They're still a pretty good team though. I'd say they're in need of some Nashville-esque blockbusters to shake up the core while staying competitive.

They should not be down 0-2, this is too much.

There really is no point too right now. They still have a great team.

They got to figure out what they need to get over the hump. Kovalchuk?

If the caps lose this series they must do something different next year .. I mean , its time to think about retooling ..

well we will see if caps can bounce back

seems a bit unlikely with losing the first 2 games at home

but if they really want to get over the top

they absolutely need to seriously consider moving ovi

he is a great goal scorer and likely will be a hof player

but he has never shown an ability to get any of his teams over the top

at least he has not done so at the highest levels of hockey

caps should have at least made it to one final series since ovi joined that team

but there is something missing in his game or his leadership

he is confirming again this year that his teams fail when the games are most meaningful

ovi still has a ton of value and talent

he'll sell a lot of tickets for another team

if caps wait a year or 2 longer he will begin to decline

the time is now

gotta have courage and get on with the changes i think

It's not bad and they have a good d prospect pool. Orlov, Niskanen are both legit top 4 D and Carlson is a capable #1 guy

They should try to find a way to retain Carlson. Probably dump Orpik somewhere.

Sign someone cheap like Hammer for a season or two and give young guns like Johansen and Bowey opportunity
