@King Heffy My cats do the same. Can't even use the bathroom without them interrupting. Now I just leave the door open. 

I heard that the tradition of British monarchs owning corgis stemmed in part from the drafty castles necessitating the little dogs to be kept under the covers for warmth 

I have never owned a dog, but once house-sat for a woman who owned three big dogs. The sleeping arrangement was much like @Twilight Sparkledescribed: the doggies let me sleep on a small sliver of the edge of the bed!

I love having my cats sleep with me lol. I've got one snuggled under the covers right now, and another on my pillow by my head. Sleeping alone is not as fun so I welcome my furry little visitors. If I had a dog I probably wouldn't sleep with them since they seem dirtier and more smelly.

It's just a drag when I end up spending an extra couple hours at work each day for several weeks in a row, or have to come in on weekends but make the same money I always do. 

I'm just being grouchy. I know I am fortunate to be working at all. 

I was surprised at how much I liked Beagle because I hated his contract when he signed it. He was very effective for us in a defensive role. He is sorely missed.

I feel like there isn't any one thing that Roussel does very well. Doesn't generate a lot of offense, seems like his defensive contributions are not too great, and in my opinion he takes a lot of bad penalties. I'll give him the fact that he's tough and doesn't seem to back down from fights, but I haven't really seen him win one handily. 

@TNucks1 I am sitting in the nosebleeds. I splurged a bit much last season (flying to Van and Vegas to see games, sitting behind the bench in SJ) so I needed to tone it down this year. 

I was leaning towards Danny but Jazz brings up a salient point.  @AlwaysACanuckFan I like your creativity! 

They ended up closing mt workplace for the duration of this week as well :-( We're expecting some rains starting Wednesday that should help with the flames, but the depleted landscape may give rise to mudslides and flooding.

My workplace has announced we'll reopen on Monday, finally.

Yes, the fire has moved at a shocking pace. Annual wildfires are a natural occurrence for this region (chaparral), but have been stymied by human impact, which led to several years worth of built up dry brush. This, plus the drought conditons we've experienced led to the perfect conditions for the blaze to develop and move rapidly.

It's so very sad. I can't imagine what the survivors are going through. 

If you're going to be facepalming, it should probably be in response to your crass joke implying I'd be whoring myself to make up my week's wages. Or to your response to Jimmy's emoji. Your skin is seeming a bit thin.

Work is canceled for tomorrow too. Makes for the whole week off 

Right now the fire doesn't appear to be headed my way (thankfully), but I do have a plan on the off chance I need to evacuate.
