I know what the article said, but if come TDL we're out of the playoffs, why wouldn't they accept trades to a contender? 

I'm a firm believer that this teams is playoff bound and could surprise the planet and win a cup this year. That being said, if I'm Jimbo, I ask them to waive their NTC's if we're out of the playoffs come TDL (which we won't be)... but hypothetically, you have to explore the option and let them have a chance to win if we're out of the playoff race. Then re-sign them in the off season. 

@apollo but they just said, wrote actually, they are not interested in that kind of scenario. They want to play here or nowhere. Its pretty simple. 

@Jimmy McGill I see what you're saying but it's just an article. I don't doubt their loyalty to the city they made great but if there's a team that could fit them assuming Canucks retain 50%, that they could win a cup with and play for 3 months, y not take it and then come back and sign here? Gives us some assets too.

regardless, this is a playoff bound team and I don't think my hypothetical scenario would ever come to fruition because we're gonna be a playoff team.
