Not a chance Hutton will sign for 1.25 - 1.75 million when Poo was given 1.1 million last season.

@NewbieCanuckFan Pouliot played limited amount of games had only 1 full season in the league prior. It was a deal based on potential and "show me". Hutton has played 4 full seasons and shown what he is and isn't capable of at this point. 

Green went with Stecher & Hutton when all the D went down rather than give any additional minutes to Guds, Poo, whoever.  

It’s an overused cliche’ but sometimes the whole IS greater than the some of the parts.  Those two worked well together as a pairing.  Chemistry is a funny thing.  Look at Guds for example.  Was a top 4 guy with the Panthers but fell WAY down the depth chart here.  Seems a waste throwing away something that worked.

Im not saying give him a long term deal.  But a one year deal is good enough as a placeholder until guys like OJ are ready.  Much like what Marky is to a lesser extent in goal.
