  1. Have been trying to figure out a trade that makes sense to all sides that doesn't involve Miller. Its hard to do.

Nobody gets to keep everyone forever. Boeser will be re-upped this offseason, and then Miller and Horvat will be due the season after along with Hoglander and Hamonic. All three forwards will need raises, and Hamonic may get one too regardless of where he signs.

Problem is, you can't keep dumping money into your top six while neglecting your bottom six. We need a good 3c in the worst way, and Hamonic and Myers will need replacing sooner than later and I'm skeptical of our internal options. We're going to have to re-allocate money eventually anyway.

      Canucks have:

      the Goalie

a Top 4 D in OEL, Hughes, Myers and Hamonic

the Top 6 Cs in Horvat and Miller

the Top 6 Wingers in Boeser, Podkolzin, Hoglander and Garland

Petey? He'd fetch a lot.  At the least another good Dman and a 1st (2022).  No need to tear it down.

@bigbadcanucks Miller can be moved anywhere, which is quite valuable. So if he's a component of saving this season and beyond, it matters.

Say for $&!#s and giggles Arizona or Bufffalo takes him as a piece in a deal, they can then flip him at the TDL with no restrictions.
