[Signing] Flames sign Nazem Kadri
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Looks like we're getting a last look(hopefully) on what this roster can bring. If it doesn't work out, we will go on a full rebuild (throw that retool crap out of the window pls). Best is if we just admit the facts that this core is not there and trade Miller for a haul. But with the way things are going, look like we'll be looking at Miller walking or worst yet, an extension (team tied down for years to come). -

7x7 sounds about right... anything higher is insane lol... 39 years old Kadri. -
[Proposal] Trade OEL for Zub
Drakrami replied to Hairy Kneel's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
lol really? May be you should think more before you post. He wasn't doing well in Arizona already, he was regressing and has not shown signs of breaking through that regression in a new envrioment (the Canucks). He is still a solid Dmen, not a #1, and certainly not worth 7.2mil. Aka, negative value. And the exact reason why this topic proposes to trade him away, because hes a negative value on the team in terms of cap management and age. -
[Proposal] Trade OEL for Zub

At this point OEL has negative value. You may not think so, but the other 32 GMs do. 31 year old defenseman 29 points last year making 7.2mil AAV. -
[Signing] Bruins sign David Krejci

So Boston is paying 3.5million total for their top 2 Cs.... That's an advantage. -
[Proposal] Van - Wpg

uhh.. trade makes no sense at all. For one Scheifele is worth more than Miller. -
[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Drakrami replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
wow.. still have to spell it out for some to understand... lol. So we had 21/22 trade deadline, we had a horrible season. 90% we won't make the playoffs. What does the management do? Instead of unloading like the Ducks or Philly a veteran for a nice haul, we cling on the hope that we can pull a miracle and make the playoffs. So we sat on Miller. Then came offseason, 2 months ago. Watched as Fiala gets moved, Debrincat gets moved. And then Friedmen reports on 12/JUL, Canucks have started to let potential teams talk to Miller's agent for extension. July 12, that is 5 days after the freaking draft where all the trades happen. It could be the owner. No one knows, but it's still failure. -
[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

Just look at the Giroux deal which is equivalent to 2 1sts and a 3rd. Miller should at least fetch that. If we cant get a deal after 2 TDL + 1 offseason, it is because we were dragging our feet and indecisiveness, which people were jumping all over me for saying that. -
[Signing] Kraken re-sign Ryan Donato

1.2mil for a 30 point guy... wtf.. why cant we sign guys like these. -
No I have not, but why are you bringing up domestic abuse case where domestic means within the family, so most of the time because of economic reasons they can't move as freely or live elsewhere right? We are now talking about an 18 year old adult who can move freely and has no strings attached, but still choose to watch her abuser's hockey game 3 days later, " to see him play".
-
" not peticularly uncommon for victims to lean in closer to abusers after a traumatic experience to try to rationalize past experiences." Where are you getting this from? So if I had a freak accident at some restaurant, I'd want to visit that restaurant 3 days later? Or if someone's hit by a car, they would want to go visit and see the driver? Common sense would be to stay away from the abuser to avoid getting abused again or to avoid trigger the painful memories you probably dont want to bring up.

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Drakrami replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
At this point the most likely scenario seems to be... the management has penned us to make the playoffs (in a weak division) (so we are not sellers). We do make the playoffs, exit in round 1 or 2. Miller walks for a 7x8.5mil contract elsewhere. -

Yes, NYR is not our trading partner if that is all they have to offer. That package doesnt take us anywhere. -

Well speculation is all we have to talk about, or there is no point to the past 976 pages of discussion. -

Because Lafreniere Schneider and a 1st was just wet dreaming? The real world offered by Rangers was Lundkvist, Chytil, 1st as reported by Sportsnet. -

If Sakic's really going for it. He should go for Kane. MacKinnon, Kane, Makar - that's a dynasty. -
[Signing] Blue Jackets re-sign Patrik Laine
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Let's see.. Laine is 1 year younger than Boeser. He has already scored 50 more career goals than him. Let's take last season. Laine is on pace for 38 goals. Boeser on pace for 26 goals. 21/26 of Laine's goals were even strength. 11/23 of Boeser's goals were from the powerplay. Let's talk about trends. Laine had a down year and injuries the 1st year he was traded to CBJ, last season, 2nd year he is picking it up. Boeser has pretty much flatlined the last 4 seasons; in fact, his rookie season was probably his best season. Laine is also 6"5' and can carry the play, dangle and take the puck to the net. Boeser most of the time just gets himself open to take a shot and jumps on loose pucks. These are facts and from facts that's how you conclude which is the better player. Your comment would made more sense if it was something like MacKinnion vs McDavid. But Laine vs Boeser....? lol. -

What? you mean your complete nonsense can only stay posted within the Canucks forum because you will get rofl'd at in the outside world? Thought so.
