What you say doesnt even make sense. If concussion 1) stopped him from playing or 2) affected his performance, he would have retired already. What happened was once Baertschi came back from his injury, Benning immediately shut him down. Either thinking Baertschi is too soft or not offensive enough to take a top 6 spot. Baertschi demands a trade. After that, Baertschi goes on to play 2 seasons in the AHL where concussions happen a lot too. You want to see where a real concussion derailed a career? Ferland.

Stop with the propaganda lol. The truth is Benning didn't want to play him anymore and shut the gate on him. He went on to play seasons in the AHL and signed with the Golden Knights now 3 years in Switzerland, sound like someone with concussion problems that cant play hockey? Always had a soft spot for Baertschi. Too bad teams don't think he is a NHL regular.

[Report] Islanders have fired head coach Barry Trotz
Drakrami replied to Alflives's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Islanders overrate themselves. They dont have a very good team. Without Trotz, they'll be bottom feeders. Parise on 2nd line, that's lol. -
lol of course you'd make yourself a contender by doing a trade NJ absolutely wouldnt do. NJ wants to get better, adding a 1C and capdump by trading away one of their best dman, 25 year old 2nd liner, and a Holtz whos about to breakout makes them a lot worse. Boston is old enough and is on the edge of a rebuild, im sure they'd jump on adding Myers.

[Proposal] VAN - PIT (Miller offseason)
Drakrami replied to Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Why is everyone targeting Marino? If Pittsburgh traded away Marino, they literally have no RD other than a 35 year old Letang. aka, they won't trade Marino. -
Canucks trying to identify fan who threw hot dog towards Phil Kessel
Drakrami replied to nuckin_futz's topic in Canucks Talk
Dunno why everyone's gotta make fun of Kessels, i like hotdogs too. -
Actually Lammikko wasnt even cracking Florida's lineup before he got traded. And we have been overplaying him on the 3rd line. Goes on to describe our lineup.

? Top 5 Right Wing in the league asking for 9-10mil, there's nothing wrong with that.

And now the final word is how horrible this pick was. We had the safe and everyone thought we would pick Tkachuk, but Benning pulls the rabbit out of the hat and tried the genius move of going for Juolevi. Every year, someone was there to defend this pick saying Juolevi will develop and get there. Tkachuk is now top 10 in NHL points. For all the praise of Benning's drafting, this pick alone cancels out a lot of good because how obvious and expected it was to draft Tkachuk.

[Proposal] 3-way Trade VAN-MIN-ANA at the Entry Draft

Fiala 61 pts in 68 games. Hoglander and a 1st seems pretty undervalued. Also cant see Fiala signing anything less than 7million/year. -
[discussion] trading 2022 1st round pick
Drakrami replied to Angry Goose's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Retooling is not fine. Doesn't work, lying to yourself and a waste of time. The teams you have mentioned all were cup winners. If you retool with a cup winner core, sure anyone can accept that. It's actually more like cap management for those teams since they have to shed the roster after their cup wins because their UFAs will want to sign for more. Why talk about other teams? We have plenty of history with retooling here in Vancouver. 23 year old Linden Vey is on the market!? Let's part with our 2nd. 20 year old Pedan? Here take our 3rd. Omg a young Gudbranson! You get the idea. The inability to learn from past mistake and history and still advocating for it... /facepalm. -
Yes unless the owner wants to be paying 3 coaches' salaries?

[discussion] trading 2022 1st round pick
Drakrami replied to Angry Goose's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
This kind of impatience is why we have been floating as a mediocre team for the last 8 years. Thank you retooling. -
Boudreau's ability to see potential... thinking outside the box
Drakrami replied to *Buzzsaw*'s topic in Canucks Talk
This is imagining things lol. Pettersson approached Boudreau and wanted to try PK to get more minutes lol. -
Multiple Canucks players happy to see Hamonic go: report

You new here? Canucks always justifies a trade. Remember Kassian with tennis balls on his back. Or Hodgson's dad request. Been theorizing Aquilini employs a small group of internet trolls. -
[Report] Canucks claim Brad Richardson off waivers
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Uhhh... no need to wait, dont want to waste your chess playing time. For example, if we are trading away Miller our center depth looks like Pettersson/Horvat/Dickinson/Lammikko/Petan/Dries. I'd much rather give an AHL who worked their butts off some games in the NHL then a 37 year old Richardson who is probably retiring in 2 months. -

Oh god hes 37 years old, if we are selling... why not play some players from our farm team... -
Yes... Pittsburgh's gonna trade you Marino right in the middle of their playoff run... that's right.

[PGT] Calgary Flames at Vancouver Canucks | Mar. 19, 2022
Drakrami replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
except... the teams still there to buy players are almost gone. Carolina, Pittsburgh, NYR, Washington, Colorado, St Louis, Toronto (but the deal will suck) still being buyers. I could easily see more than half of these teams just not buy and go with their current roster.
