Vegas is making a mistake by trading him. They should be clearing cap to sign him and playing him in their top 6. He has a chance to be a star like panarin. I'd love him on the canucks. He could play with horvat or petey.

7m is a lot better than that 9m rumour. Still a little high for my tastes cause his production did go down without Tavares. However, isles needed to go crawling back after missing out on panarin and we live in a world where Hayes makes 7m so fair compared to that.

This is kind of a pointless announcement because Aho hasn't signed this offer sheet yet. It's just them announcing they offered one. Nah panarin's deal will probably end up being one of the best because he's the only one worth breaking the bank for today. He's at or close to Pettersson's level and I would have no problem giving Pettersson 11.6m today. He might end up costing more though if the cap rises in a couple of years. Panarin is a game breaker and franchise player like Pettersson. He dragged the jackets to the playoffs twice.

I've seen them attack marner and saying he should follow Tavares example of taking less money for the good of the team.

Not many contenders can pay him his true worth and any team he goes to he makes them a lot better. Plus, you could say the same about anyone that signs with us. Jay Beagle just won a cup and signed with us because he didn't care about winning anymore and chased the money. If Myers signs with us, he doesn't care about winning leaving a good team like Winnipeg and is chasing the money. Both beagle and Myers could have stayed with their original playoffs teams if they took lower salaries. Therefore, if you hold that against panarin you also have to hold that against every free agent that signs with us. It's not something I hold against players.

That's a fair price and what I expected him to go far. I'd love it if the canucks could get him for that, but he's not going to sign here. He's a game changer and really good. Would probably hit 100 points playing with Pettersson. I would take panarin over marner and I think Marner is worth 10-11m.
