    Curious, would everyone who was praying for us to tank for McDavid and write off the season still feel the same if it was their (or their family's) money and business that would be taking a huge financial hit? It's easy to stand on the sidelines with no financial risk and tell someone how to run their business and lose a lot of money

      BananaMash: Getting a future all star player isn't all that great if the rest of your prospects are brought up in a losing environment where it's "ok" to lose. Look at the Oilers. The only think Hall, eberle, RNH know about the NHL is that it's ok to lose in Edmonton.

      Grape: Definitely agree. Prospects need to learn about competition and have a drive to succeed, not get the impression that their club doesn't believe they're good enough so they're going to waste a couple seasons to get better prospects.

      I don't think Pens regret tanking for Lemieux when they were on the verge of being translocated. One year for McDavid or Eichel could completely rejuvenate this team.
