  1. I do not, I think more of the gay community than that. I do think there are probably some young gay kids who were really big kuzmenko fans until a few hours ago that are going to have some pretty hurt feelings.
  2. see my edit. if you choose to side with people who feel others are invalid simply because you think the other group is weak for needing validation, the result is the same. being on the side of meatheads.
  3. you're preaching to the choir, but it's also irrelevant in this context. you're not going to snap your fingers and magically make people not care what others think of them, it's against human nature. edit: so, when presented with a really easy choice to either blatantly show them you support them or blatantly show them that you don't, make the decent choice. it'll help build that internal validation.
  4. supply and demand. they only do a limited run, so they price it high to temper demand.
  5. tried to do my part, pre-ordered some merch. never owned any pride themed anything before. I'm no activist, but I'll happily advocate.
  6. the validity of another human being's existence isn't something you're entitled to an opinion on. wearing the jersey is just signalling publicly that you're not a meathead.
  7. I respected the dice that benning rolled (to a point) and saw where he was coming from, at least, even when I disagreed with him. he lost me the summer after the bubble, however. that was when I could no longer logically justify his rationale. the oel trade was a hail mary, but I always appreciate a move where the goal is winning. I don't appreciate planned losing. as far as this topic goes, writing off hronek because the team thinks it's smarter to let him fully heal than to persevere in a season that isn't going anywhere anyway is just a little bit silly. edit: furthermore, i support my team. including management. I support anyone doing their damnedest to succeed for my benefit, even when they fail. especially when they fail. the fact he got 8 years in the chair should tell ya.something.
  8. alright, listen up class. eyes to the front. this is an example of what we call a "knee jerk reaction". it's best to keep them to yourself whenever possible, because 99 times out of 100 they age really poorly.
  9. i'd like to see sections of blue, green, red and yellow seats. make it unique.
  10. a) why would anyone but it then? b) who has deeper pockets than they do to keep pouring money into it?
  11. hockey players play hockey. these are grown men, not hermetically sealed collector's items.
  12. the biggest obstacle is that the team isn't for sale. unless the family ends up disowning francesco or the guy goes nips up, there's no way a narcissist like him let's the team out of his grasp. it's a vanity thing for him that he convinced his bros is a good investment.
  13. maybe cryptic isn't the right word, but there is a whole mess of debate around interpretation nevertheless.
  14. a lot of christians are the least christian people around. I'm pretty sure "love thy neighbour" and "judge not lest ye be judged" trump the little, cryptic, debatably-intepreted blurb about laying with men. but most christians haven't even cracked a bible.
  15. have to wonder what's going on behind the scenes there. he has consistently passed the eye test with flying colours since he got here, but 3 different coaches haven't seen him as a regular. there has to be a reason we can't see.
  16. that was av's diversion from his real habit, which was smoking like the proverbial frenchman.
  17. yep. a tiny guy who provides only offense and nothing else, doesn't play either special team, and has a bad rep with officials ... and only puts up streaky, middle six numbers.
  18. they gotta see if hughes can effectively make myers decent so they can figure out an offseason plan.
