  1. Really hope they don't take Hodgson off the second line, because he'll quickly lose his spot if they put him in the bottom-6. Higgins has been great but he can play well on the 3rd line. Hodgson + Higgins >>>>>> Higgins + Ebbett.

Hodgson and Higgins have been our best forwards except for the Sedins. Hodgson wasn't very effective the last two games, but he is again playing with new line-mates and adjusting to being a winger.

Higgins has been better overall, but when you consider play-styles, putting Hodgson with Kes and Booth (as the play-maker) and putting Higgins on the third line as a grinder to fore-check and work the boards with Hansen just makes more sense.

I'd give Cody a couple games on the 3rd to see whether he truly doesn't fit or not. Like I said, he hasn't exactly looked all that comfortable on the wing and while that's completely understandable, I don't see how it'd hurt his game to test him out on the 3rd. Especially when you consider Higgins and Kesler have had chemistry playing together and Booth has had experience playing with both.

Oops, my last message got cut off:

"Cody doesn't fit the third line."

CoHo can't excel in a third line role when it's going to be predominately a checking line. He is a purely offensive player and needs to be put in that position to succeed. I do agree that Higgins has earned the second line spot but he is more versatile and can fill the 3rd line role that Hodgson just can't.
