    We have to wait one more year after this for the ugly contacts (Beagle, Roussel, Luongo, Eriksson, etc...) to expire :(

      At least Sutter, Baertschi and Spooner are done after this one.
      Compared to some teams around the league (e.g. Buffalo, San Jose, Detroit) our only real glaring mistakes are arguably Baertschi and Loui (both flopped; Roussel/ Beagle/ Sutter are all serviceable, and the league just screwed us with Lu).

      I worry that garbage vets will just replace the ones that get removed.  Benning has to avoid the pressure from ownership to produce right away.  Wait for the opportunity to come like the Schmidt situation.  Don’t force a move like the Gudbranson trade.  The rest will sort themselves out.
