When I posted it I didn't really expect many people from outside the area to know who he was.  But anyone from Victoria, especially those that grew up here in the 70s, 80s or 90s, would know all about him.  Even today, long after his playing days, his basketball camps are huge in Victoria.  I imagine that some of my wife's students at school today will be devastated to hear of the news.

On his own he could break down US full court pressure back in the 80s. It was beautiful to watch.

He was a very good ball player, and from all I've heard a good guy. I remember the buzz around those guys at U Vic.
